Another great sketch from the past, created by the talented Tamara.
I have sort of love-hate relationship with this kind of sketch (without images),
because this definitely brings me out of my comfort zone.. but even if it is always difficult for me to manage and I almost always need a couple of days to come up with an idea *lol* I love creating cards I don't do usually ... for me this is a real challenge - and I love challenges :-)))

Wieder mal ein toller Sketch aus der Vergangenheit, von der überaus talentierten Tamara.
Ich hab' sowas wie eine Hassliebe zu dieser Art von Sketchen (so ohne Motiv) entwickelt,
weil es so ganz und gar nicht meinem normalen Stil entspricht und mir echt schwer fällt... aber auch wenn es immer schwierig für mich ist und ich fast jedes Mal mehrere Tage benötige bis mir eine entsprechende Idee in den Sinn kommt, liebe ich es dennoch Karten zu machen wie ich sie sonst nie mache... für mich ist das wirklich eine Herausforderung - und ich liebe Herausforderungen :-)))

Birthday card for a child - Pollycraft Monday Challenge

After seeing all the wonderful cards from my lovely blogging friend Pops, I couldn't resist and had to download some digi stamps from Pollycraft today *lol* I think this cuuuuute little dog in front of the birthday presents tower would be the perfect image for a childs birthday card and so this card fits perfectly for this weeks challenge at 'Pollycraft Monday Challenge' ;-)

Nachdem ich immer wieder all die wunderbaren Karten meiner lieben Blog-Freundin Pops gesehen habe, konnte ich jetzt einfach nicht mehr widerstehen und habe heute ein paar Digi Stamps von Pollycraft gekauft *lol* Ich finde doch das dieser süüüüüsse kleine Hund vor diesem riesigen Turm von Geburtstagsgeschenken das perfekte Bild für eine Kinder-Geburtstagskarte ist und somit passt diese Karte auch perfekt für die Challenge bei 'Pollycraft Monday Challenge' ;-)

CAS12 a little piece of ribbon

I made this card for the 'Clean and Simple' challenge#12 over at SCS.
This is what Miss Boo said: 'This week we are using little, tiny bits of ribbon. You can make ribbon tabs, ribbon flags, attach a tiny piece of ribbon with a clip, or tie a bit on a spiral clip, etc. I can't wait to see what you do with just a bit of ribbon! Just remember to keep the card simple.'

EAC 37 Animals - Butterfly

This weeks theme at Everybody Art Challenge is 'Animals'.
I used one of my beloved Inkadinkado Mindscapes stamps (the butterfly). I created a background by creating a yellow spot in the middle (using a sponge and vanilla ink) and some blue around (using a sponge and light and dark blue inks). I then stamped the butterfly with black ink and highlighted some parts with a white gel pen and a clear glitter pen. I added some self-adhesive gemstones in blue and clear, a flower and a pearl brad. Cut it out with my Big Shot and the Nestablities Label1 die cut. For the dark blue background I stamped some flourishes with black ink on dark blue cardstock and went around with a white gel pen. Mounted the blue cardstock on a black card cardbase and the top layer with pop dots.

Diese Woche haben wir als Thema "Tiere" bei Everybody Art Challenge.
Ich habe einen meiner geliebten Inkadinkado Mindscapes Stempel (den Schmetterling) benutzt. Ich habe den Hintergrund wie folgt gestaltet: Zuerst in der Mitte einen gelben runden Kreis mit Hilfe eines Schwämmchens und Vanille farbenem Stempelkissen gemacht. Dann aussenrum mit hell- und dunkelblauer Stempelfarbe ebenfalls die Farbe mit einem Schwämmchen aufgetragen. Dann habe ich den Schmetterling mit schwarz drüber gestempelt, manche Teile davon mit einem weissen Gelstift und manche Teile mit einem klaren Glitzerstift hervorgehoben. Ein paar selbstklebende Glitzersteinchen, ein Blümchen und ein Perlenbrad dazu. Habe das dann mit meiner Big Shot und den Nestabilities Label1 Schablonen ausgestanzt. Für den dunkelblauen Hintergrund habe ich einen 'Flourishes' Stempel in schwarz einige Male auf dem dunkelblauen Cardstock abgedrückt und dann alles mit weissem Gelstift nachgefahren. Den blauen Hintergrund auf eine schwarze Kartenbasis geklebt und die oberste Lage dann mit 3D Pads aufgebracht.

Stamp with Fun - Bear Knight

Just discovered the challenge blog 'Stamp with Fun' who has a great sketch created by Marlene this week.
I recently fell in love with the cute images (digi stamps) designed by Dustin Pike and so I had to use one of his images on this card, again :-) If you are new to digi stamps, it's really easy: Just print out the size you want with a laser printer on watercolour paper and then colour as always with waterbased markers, watercolours or other medium.

Ich habe gerade den Challenge Blog "Stamp with Fun" entdeckt, bei denen es diese Woche einen tollen Sketch von Marlene gibt.
Ich habe mich kürzlich in die niedlichen Motive (Digi Stempel) von Dustin Pike verliebt und so musste ich auch dieses Mal eines seiner Motive für die Karte verwenden :-) Falls Ihr Digi Stempel noch nie verwendet habt, das ist ganz einfach: Nur den Stempel in der gewünschten Größe per Laserdrucker auf Aquarellpapier ausdrucken und danach einfach wie gewohnt mit Wasserbasierten Stiften (z.B. Tombows) oder Wasserfarben oder irgend einem anderen Medium kolorieren.

EAC 36 - Smile

This week the challenge over at EAC is to use only one scrap paper! Wow.. this is not that easy for a paper addict ;-)
For this card I used a digital scrap paper from Retrodiva called 'Tangled Roses' I love this paper and it's colours! The image is from Stamping Duck. It's a small German stamping company and I love their images a lot! I colored the word 'Smile' with Tombow rose markers and went over it with my beloved Sakura Stardust clear pen for a little sparkle :-)

Diese Woche lautet die Herausforderung bei EAC: Benutze nur ein Scrap Papier! Wow.. ganz schön schwierig für einen Papier-Süchtel ;-)
Für diese Karte habe ich ein digitales Scrappapier von Retrodiva benutzt (es heisst "Tangled Roses") Ich liebe dieses Papier und seine Farben! Das Stempelmotiv ist von Stamping Duck. Das ist eine kleine aber feine deutsche Stempelfirma und ich mag deren Motive sehr gern! Ich habe das 'Smile' noch mit einem rosafarbenen Tombow Stift koloriert und dann nochmal mit meinem heissgeliebten Sakura Stardust Stift drüber für ein bisschen Glitzer :-)

I distressed the edges of the image and dp with Distress inks in Antique Linen.

Liebe Anja - Du liebes, süsses, verrücktes Hühnchen- hab' vieeeeelen lieben Dank für die tolle Überraschung :-)
Anja hatte mir nämlich ein paar tolle neue High-Hopes-Abdrücke geschickt (ohne mir vorher was zu sagen) Liebe Anja, die Freude war wirklich riesengroß und ich hoffe, ich habe in den nächsten Wochen mal wieder etwas mehr Zeit um auch mal einige der tollen Abdrücke verbasteln zu können.. die sind ja sooooo schöööön *seufz*

Aber was mindestens genauso toll wie die Abdrücke war: Die wundervolle Begleitkarte dazu. Die ist ja sooooooooo wunderwunderschöööööön geworden! Ein richtiges Prachtexemplar von Karte! Das Motiv ist so toll koloriert (die Erdbeere auch noch mit Glitzer) und die Blümchen mit den Knöpfen in der Mitte und das Tag und der große Schnörkel... hach... da passt einfach alles perfekt zusammen!

EAC 35 - Heathers Sketch

Tuesday always means another challenge with great prizes over at Everybody Art Challenge! If you haven't visited us by now you really should do it! As mentioned above, there a weekly challenges with great prizes (shipped internationally!) So just come on over and join in the fun :-)

This week we have a fabulous sketch from our Heather :-)

I did not have the right designer paper for the right vintage feel, so I decided to do my own by using a piece of white cardstock, stamped a flourish all over the cardstock with brown ink and went over all with some boredeaux Ancient Page ink. I love the result (hope you do love it a bit, too ;-) ). I distressed all papers with the Tim Holtz distress tool but did not ink the edges this time (did not want to have it too messy). The little roses in the center of the flowers are all a little bit glittered with some Stickles in Platinum...

Dienstag bedeutet immer eine neue Herausforderung mit tollen Preisen auf dem Everybody Art Challenge Blog! Falls Ihr noch nie bei uns vorbei gekommen seid, solltet Ihr das wirklich mal tun!
Wie oben schon gesagt gibt es wöchentliche Herausforderungen mit genialen Preisen (die auch international versandt werden!) Also komm einfach mal rüber und mach mit :-)

Diese Woche haben wir einen wundervollen Sketch von unserer Heather :-)

Ich hatte irgendwie nicht die richtigen Designer Paper für das richtige "Vintage" Feeling. Also habe ich entschlossen den Hintergrund mal wieder selbst zu machen indem ich ein Stück weisse Karteikarte genommen habe, darauf überall einen 'Flourish' Stempel mit brauner Stempelfarbe verteilt und zum guten Schluss noch mit bordeauxfarbener Ancient Page Farbe drüber gewischt habe. Mir gefällt das Ergebnis ganz gut (Euch hoffentlich auch ;-) ) Die restlichen Papiere hab' ich alle mit dem Tim Holtz Distress Tool bearbeitet aber dieses Mal nicht die Ränder auch noch gewischt, weil ich es nicht ganz so shabby haben wollte. Die kleinen Röschen in den Blumenmitten sind übrigens noch ein klitzekleines bisschen rundum beglittert mit etwas Stickles Platinum ....
