Love Grows Happiness

I made this card for the 'Bigger is Better' challenge over at Saturday Spotlight - with hidden potential :)
Then I realized that this weeks theme over at Quixotic Challenges is 'Flutter By' - so this fits perfectly for this one, too :D

2 Sketches 4 You - Lauras Sketch 43

Here's my entry for this weeks '2 Sketches 4 You' challenge

The huge flowers are handmade by myself. They are created out of plain white paper, some distress inks, water, a background stamp, scalloped scissors and some (ok.. lots of *g*) glitter. The small brown paper flower in the middle is the only one I purchased

Unfortunately this photo doesn't do the card justice.. I wasn't able to catch the right colors in the photo (thanks to the bad weather :-( ) and that one flower that looks SO green here has a lot more blue IRL and it really matches the patterned paper very well (btw: the pp looks even more turquois and not that blue as it looks like on the photo)

background stamp for flower is 'French Script' by SU!

Digital Tuesday

This weeks challenge at Digital Tuesday is 'Emboss It'

sorry for the bad photo.. I really don't have a clue why, but I couldn't get a better shot of this card - but it looks so much prettier in real life than on this image :-(

I embossed my turquois background with one of my cuttlebug folders :)

The image is a free digital stamp from Sketching Stamper Digi Stamps. I colored it in with my beloved Tombow markers and added some additional glitz with a clear Sakura glitter gel pen (hope you can see it on the close up)
