3 Dimensional Phindys Challenge

Hello my sweet friends. Today is friday and we at Phindys Friday challenge blog have a new challenge for you starting today and our theme this week is:  '3Dimensional'
Hallo Ihr Lieben. Heute ist Freitag und auf dem Phindys Friday Challenge Blog beginnt heute wieder eine neue Herausforderung und das Thema dieser Woche ist: "3Dimensional"


As always you can interpret it in your way.. if you want to do a 3 dimensional project, such as a box or frame etc. Or just give your image a 3 dimensional look by cutting out pieces of the image and put them on foam dots to let them stand out, like I did it here with the watering can
Wie immer könnt Ihr das Thema natürlich auf Eure eigene Weise interpretieren...wenn Ihr wollt, könnt Ihr ein 3 dimensionales Projekt gestalten wie z.B. eine Box, einen Rahmen oder was auch immer. Oder aber Ihr gebt Eurer Karte einen 3D Look indem Ihr z.B. Teile des Stempelmotivs ausschneidet und auf 3D Pads setzt, um sie hervor zu heben. So wie ich es hier bei der Gießkanne gemacht habe

Birthday Gable Box w/Tutorial (Whiff of Joy GDT)

I made a gable box for a birthday.. these gable boxes are perfect as a packing for a little give away or to put some sweets or little gifts into!
Ich habe eine sogenannte 'Gable Box' für einen Geburtstag gebastelt.. diese Boxen sind eine perfekte Verpackung für ein kleines Schenki oder um ein paar Süssigkeiten oder auch kleine Geschenke hinein zu tun!

I also made a tutorial on how to make one of these boxes using a 8 1/2'' to 11'' sheet.

Crate Paper meets Prima for Card Patterns 69

I used some of the beautiful papers and elements from the Prudence Collection Kit by Crate Paper
Love the subtle colors and the bit of bling the label and many of the other elements in this kit come with

For the embellishments I used some paper flowers and roses by Prima that I sprayed with a mixture of water and Moonglow powders. I also used some 'Say it in Crystal' bits from Prima to create the crystal swirls

This card is made following the wonderful sketch #69 over at Card Patterns

Birthday wishes from the little owl

Today I have a Birthday card that I made with the cute owl stamp - this is one of the new stamps Nancy from LeLo Design has in her store. To create my background I used a flower background stamp. This is super easy and I think it's at least as beautiful as I would have used design papers. I stamped the flowers repeatedly with Vintage Linen Distress inks on a off-white paper, sponged all edges with Distress inks with Vintage Linen, too and then colored the flower centers with a yellow-orange Tombow pen. I colored the owl with watercolor pencils and some Tombow Dual Brush pens. I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp twice and cut out each word separately to make the two tags out of it. 

Heute  habe ich eine Geburtstagskarte für Euch, die ich mit dem süssen Eulen Stempel gemacht habe - es ist einer der Stempel die neu im Shop von LeLo Design erhältlich sind. Um den Hintergrund zu gestalten habe ich einen Blümchen Hintergrund Stempel benutzt. Das geht super einfach und ist doch mindestens genauso hübsch als ob ich Design Papier benutzt hätte. Ich habe dazu die Blümchen wiederholt und möglichst nahtlos mit Vintage Linen Distress inks auf eine natur-creme-weisse Karte gestempelt. Dann die Ränder ebenfalls mit Distress inks in Vintage Linen gewischt und anschliessend die Blümchen Mitten alle mit einem gelb-orangen Tombow Stift coloriert. Die Eule habe ich mit Aquarell Stiften und ein paar Tombow Stiften koloriert. Den Happy Birthday Stempel habe ich zweimal gestempelt und dann jedes Wort separat ausgeschnitten und die beiden Tags daraus gemacht

I made this scrap card for a challenge over at a sweet new forum called 'For the Luv of Art' where they wanted to see 'scallops'

 Ich habe diese Karte für eine Herausforderung in einem ganz schnuckeligen neuen Forum 'For the Luv of Art' gemacht, wo Bogenkanten verlangt waren

The card is an entry for Sentimental Sundays (favorite sentiment), too 
Well.. I can't choose a favorite sentiment.. there are so many I **love** and it depends on the occasion and mood etc. So I thought it's ok to enter this even though there are many many more I love
Die Karte ist außerdem ein Beitrag für Sentimental Sundays  
Naja.. eigentlich kann ich gar keinen "Lieblingsspruch" bestimmen.. es gibt ja so viele schöne Sprüche, die ich wirklich **liebe**.. und es ist doch auch immer abhängig von der Gelegenheit und der Stimmung etc. Also dachte ich es ist ok diesen Spruch hier zu nehmen, obwohl es wirklich viele viele andere gibt die ich sehr gerne mag 

Once again I used the gorgeous papers from the digital scrapbook kit called 'Girlfriends' by Sugarplum Paperie and Mari Koegelenberg.. I really adore these papers and the wordart bits in this kit are awesome, too!
Einmal mehr habe ich hier die wundervollen Papiere aus den Digitalen Scrapbookit 'Girlfriends' von Sugarplum Paperie und Mari Koegelenberg verarbeitet.. wirklich.. ich liebe diese Papiere sehr und auch die Wordarts (gibt es dafür eine deutsche Übersetzung?) sind wundervoll!

Another Whiff of Joy Sneak Peek

Today is the 18th Birthday of my oldest son... gosh... I feel sooooooo old *lol*
And I made this card for him because that boy from the new Whiff of Joy stamp line 'City Girl II' looks a LOT like my son!!! The new stamps will be available in the shop at June 25th. And I can tell you they are all adorable!

Heute wird mein ältester Sohn 18 ... oh jeh... ich fühle mich soooooo alt *lol*  

Und ich habe diese Karte für ihn gemacht weil der junge Mann hier aus der neuen Whiff of Joy Stempel Kollektion 'City Girl II' meinem Sohn wirklich SEHR  ähnlich sieht!!! Die neuen Stempel wird es ab dem 25. Juni dann im Shop zu bestellen geben. Und ich kann Euch schon verraten, da ist einer schöner als der Andere!

I don't have lots of bling on this card but put Stardust Stickles all around the edges and so it gives it a nice subtle shiny sparkly shimmer.. so I hope this counts as 'bling' :-)

Whiff of Joy GDT - Lazy Summer Days

I made this summer card using some of the stamps from the new Whiff of Joy June Stamp Kit called 'Fun in the Sun'.This new kit comes on cling mount in a CD jewel case for easy storage and it's 11 stamps for only 15 Euros! How cool is that?!

Diese Karte habe ich mit einigen der Stempel aus dem neuen Whiff of Joy Juni Stempel Kit namens 'Fun in the Sun' gemacht. Das neue Kit kommt bereits auf EZ Mount montiert in einer CD Hülle zur einfachen Aufbewahrung und kostet für 11 Stempel nur 15 Euro! Wie genial ist das denn?!

I stamped the boy and girl images, colored them and then cut them out trimming closely. I put the girl on pop dots to give the card more depth.. unfortunately you cannot see this very good in this picture.. but it looks really pretty IRL 

Ich habe den Jungen und das Mädchen abgestempelt, coloriert und dann anschliessend konturengenau ausgeschnitten. Ich habe das Mädel mit 3D pads hervorgehoben, damit das Ganze etwas mehr "Tiefe" bekommt.. leider kann man das nicht so gut auf dem Bild erkennen.. aber es sieht wirklich ganz nett aus in Natura

For my card above, I used the super duper cute party bear stamp from the Popcorn Bear 'Celebrate!' stamp set by Crafters Companion. I also used the 'Celebrate!' stamp from the same set to create the background.

The bear image is colored with Tombow Dual Brush pens and some watercolor pencils.

Für die Karte oben habe ich den super duper niedlichen Party Bärenstempel vom Popcorn Bear 'Celebrate!' Stempel Set von Crafters Companion benutzt. Außerdem habe ich den Stempel 'Celebrate!' aus demselben Set benutzt um den Hintergrund zu erstellen.
Ich habe das Bärchen mit Tombow Dual Brush pens und Aquarellstiften koloriert.
