Greetings from the Heart

Hi everyone and happy Sunday :)
I hope where you live, the weather is better than here: It's raining cats and dogs and it's only a tad bit over zero *brrr* So I'm longing for spring and thought maybe it's helpful to create a card using colors that reminds me of spring *g* To create this card I followed the sketch from Unscripted Sketches. It's not 100% the sketch but this sketch was definitely the guidline for me to create this card :) I used one of the 'older' kits from Danielle Engebretson called 'Daydreamer'.  I already have used it some time ago... and still love it! The desings are so versatile and the colors adorable. 
The ovals (classic and scalloped) are NOT made with a Spellbinders die, but I made these with my Silhouette SD machine and made these cutting files myself.. it's sooo easy.. it's a pleasure to work with this machine :)
The focal image is a stamp from LeLo Design. I love Nancys cute little critters ...  aren't they sweet? :)

Ich hoffe, dort wo Ihr wohnt ist das Wetter besser als hier: Es regnet in Strömen und es ist nur wenig über Null Grad *brrr*  Kein Wunder also, das ich mich weiterhin nach dem Frühling sehne und so dachte ich mir, vielleicht hilft es ja, wenn ich wenigstens eine Karte bastle, deren Farben mich wenigstens an den Frühling erinnern *g* Für diese Karte habe ich den Sketch bei Unscripted Sketches benutzt. Es ist zwar nicht so ganz 100%ig genau nach Sketch, aber der Sketch war denfinitiv mein Ausgangspunkt und meine "Leitlinie" für diese Karte :) Ich habe hier mal wieder eines der "älteren" Kits von Danielle Engebretson verwendet - es heißt "Daydreamer". Ich habe es schon vor einiger Zeit benutzt und mag es immer noch sehr! Die Designs sind einfach hinreissend schön und vielfach verwendbar und die Farben einfach nur wunderbar. 
Die Ovale (das klassische, sowie der gewellte Rahmen) sind übrigens NICHT mit einer Spellbinder Schablone gemacht, sondern mit meiner Silhouette SD Maschine :) Ich hab beide Files selbst erstellt! Es ist total einfach mit diesem Maschinchen und macht riesigen Spass :)
Das Hauptmotiv ist ein Stempel von LeLo Design. Ich finde Nancys niedliche kleine Fell-Freunde einfach zum Dahinschmelzen.. sind sie nicht süß? :)

Ok.. and now onto a fun thing: I made a picture during the making of my card for the 'Show Me' event at Sassy Cheryl's. If you look at this picture you can see a few things that are soooo typical for my card making progress: 

1. I always need a cup of coffee within reach  - very important! ;-)

2. Most of the times I have something in mind when I'm beginning .... but the result turns out totally different *lol*

See the supplies I had on my desk here in this picture? I planned to use these things on my card.. and when you now take a look again at the finished card.. there's not much left from the originally planned supplies (no more green and fuschia buttons, no saddle stitched blue ribbon and another glazed brad, than the one you can see her on the photo on the finished card!) *g*

Ok... und jetzt noch zu einer witzigen Sache: Ich habe während meiner Kartenbastelei ein Foto für 'Show Me'  bei Sassy Cheryl's gemacht.. und wenn Ihr jetzt dieses Foto anschaut könnt Ihr ein paar Dinge sehen, die total typisch dafür sind, wie meine Karten entstehen:
1. Ich brauche immer eine Tasse Kaffee in Reichweite - sehr wichtig! ;-)
2. Meistens habe ich eine bestimmte Idee im Kopf wenn ich anfange... und nachher sieht das Resultat komplett anders aus *lol*
Seht Ihr die ganzen Sachen hier auf dem Bild? Ich wollte die eigentlich ursprünglich auf meiner Karte verwenden.. aber wenn Ihr jetzt die fertige Karte anschaut, dann ist nicht mehr viel von den ursprünglichen Zutaten übrig geblieben (es sind weder Knöpfe in fuchsia und grün, noch das blaue Band mit genähtem Rand auf der Karte mehr zu sehen, außerdem ist jetzt ein anderer "Glazed Brad" auf der Karte wie hier auf dem Foto noch zu sehen!) *g*

Tuesday Trigger

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)
*woohoo*.. weekend already.. time to get a little bit crafty :)

As soon as I I saw this .... the finished card I wanted to create was right in my mind's eye!
I wanted to created a clean and graphic card..... but while creating, this card took a life of it's own *lol*
And now my card is so NOT clean and NOT graphic *giggle* .. but it was totally inspired by the picture above anyway! :)

The sentiment on the right side of the card is a stamp from Stampendous and it says:

Birthday Card

Hi everyone and happy Monday :) I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Here's a card I made for a challenge over at The Outlawz and this is a 'recipe' challenge:

But I did it and this is the result ;)

Have A Very Happy Birthday

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)
Just popping in quickly to show you a birthday card I made by following the sketch at 'Fun with Shapes and More'. To create this card I used one of this weeks new released images from Meljen's Designs. I think this little mouse guy is just the cutest sitting in his(?) birthday cake *giggle* What you can't see in the picture is, that I used Twinklings H2O on the icing that gives a super shiny shimmer

Für diese Karte habe ich eines der niegelnagelneuen Motive von Meljen's Designs benutzt. Ich finde ja diesen kleinen Mäuserich, wie er da so putzig in seiner(?) Geburtstagstorte sitzt zum dahinschmelzen *giggle* Was man hier auf dem Foto mal wieder nicht erkennen kann ist das ich den ganzen Guss der Torte mit Twinklings H2O koloriert habe, was dem ganzen einen super glänzenden Schimmer verpasst

now... the card *lol*

*woohoo*.... after coloring the beauty (see post below) I finally managed to finish the card *yay* ;-))) After lots of CAS cards recently - here's something very different *g*
I also did some distressing here: Used some Distress inks for the edges of the patterned paper in the background and a Tim Holtz distressing tool to go around the edges of the stamped image.
I'd like to submit this card to this weeks 'Crafts and Me Challenge' and I hope the butterflies all around the mermaid qualify for the theme 'time to spread your wings' *ahem*

*juhuuuu*...nach der Koloration dieser Schönheit (siehe Post unten) habe ich sie tatsächlich fertig.. die Karte *jippie* ;-)) Nach vielen vielen CAS Karten in letzter Zeit ist das hier wohl ein ganz schönes Kontrastprogramm *g*

Ich habe hier außerdem mal wieder etwas distressed: Ich habe Distress inks für die Ränder des gemusterten Papiers benutzt und außerdem ein Tim Holtz Distressing Tool um damit die Ränder des Stempelmotivs zu bearbeiten.

Ich möchte die Karte gerne als Beitrag für die Challenge bei 'Crafts and Me Challenge' einstellen und hoffe das die Schmetterlinge auf der und um die Meerjungfrau herum genug geflügelte Wesen sind, um bei dem Thema 'time to spread your wings' mitzumachen *räusper*

no card, but...

Hi everyone and happy Friday :)
Sorry for not being much around here on the blog lately, but the last week was super busy at work and so I did not have time to create something *sigh*
But today I purchased my first (digi) stamp from 'Crafts and Me'. 
This image is called 'Hidden Treasures' and .... ohhhh... I so adore this image designed by Hannah Lynn 
I did not have time to create a card with this beauty but at least I had time to color her ;-)
And to prevent this blog becoming an orphan I thought I'd show you at least the colored image ;-))))

Tut mir leid, das ich nicht soviel hier auf dem Blog zeige in der letzen Zeit aber die letzte Woche war super hektisch und ich hatte wahnsinnig viel geschäftlich zu tun und somit war die Zeit für Kreatives leider sehr knapp *seufz*

Aber heute habe ich meinen ersten (Digi) STempel von  'Crafts and Me' gekauft

Das Motiv heißt 'Hidden Treasures' und.... oooohhhhh... ich finde dieses Motiv das Hannah Lynn entworfen hat, einfach umwerfend schön! Ich hatte leider nicht genug Zeit eine Karte damit zu gestalten, aber immerhin habe ich es geschafft diese Schönheit mal zu kolorieren.

Und damit mein Blog nicht total verwaist, dachte ich ich zeig' Euch wenigstens mal das kolorierte Motiv ;-)))

I totally forgot to post this card (seems I'm in a CAS mood recently *lol*) that I made the other week
I followed the sketch from Card Patterns to create this card and used my Silhouette for cutting out the butterflies and the scalloped border (wich I created myself ;) )

 Todays card is a scrap card where I used the GORGEOUS design papers from the brand new 'Vanilla Noir' kit from Quirky Twerp. I sooooo love the papers in this kit! The designs are so beautiful, classy and elegant, aren't they?! :) The sentiment is from the 'Garden Bun Bun Fairy Sentiments' set designed by Ann Vento (Raindrop Echo Designs). I cut out the ornament with my Silhouette and the cutting file is from Samantha Walker.

Meine heutige Karte ist eine reine Scrap Karte bei der ich die unwahrscheinlich schönen Design Papiere aus dem brandneuen Kit 'Vanilla Noir' von Quirky Twirp benutzt habe. Ohhh.. meine Güte.. ich bin wirklich ganz hin und weg von den wundervollen Papieren in diesm Kit! spring and LOVE is in the air :)

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!
Like the title says: Spring is in the air *yay* Lots of sunshine during the last days
And even though I caught an ugly bug and didn't feel very well it was great to see the sun is shining outside :)
Oh... and isn't this a wonderful combo: Sunshine and LOVE? I think it's the perfect match *smile*

I kept this Valentine's card super simple with only one layer and a ribbon plus one charm as embellishment.
It had to be a CAS card because it is an entry for the CAS Sunday challenges at The Outlawz.
No patterned papers, no layers... oh my... this is really a huge challenge for me *lol*

Wie die Überschrift ja schon sagt: Frühling liegt in der Luft *hurra*  Es gab in den letzten Tagen richtig viel Sonnenschein

Und auch wenn mich eine eklige Magen-Darm-Grippe erwischt hatte und ich mich alles andere als gut gefühlt habe, tat es doch gut wenigstens etwas Sonnenschein draußen zu sehen :)
Hach und ist das etwa keine wunderbare Kombination: Sonnenschein und LIEBE?! Ich finde das passt doch perfekt zueinander *lächel*

Ich habe diese Valentins-Karte absichtlich super einfach gehalten mit nur einer Lage und nur einem Seidenband plus einem Schmetterlings-Charm als Verzierung. Denn es sollte eine CAS Karte für die CAS Sunday Challenge bei The Outlawz werden.  Keine gemusterten Papiere, keine zusätzlichen Lagen... oh man... da muss ich mich immer schwer zusammenreissen, denn das fällt mir immer super schwer *lol*

Hope you enjoy your weekend and have such a great weather as we have here: Sunshine, blue sky and again 12°C (54°F)
I want to share this little Valentine's card in non-traditional colors. I really love these 'earthy' colors from the 'Mellow' digi starter kit by Basic Grey and thought these papers and elements are matching the cute owl love pair (LeLo Design) really well :)  The sentiment is also one of the new stamps from LeLo's Valentine Collection :)

CAS Birthday Card

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)
I'm enjoying the sun *yay*... yes.. it's really true.. the sun is shining and we have around 12°C (54°F)

Your Next Stamp #35 - Pretty Pleats

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!
It's time for our next Your Next Stamp challenge :) This fortnight Maureen wants to see some pleats and/or ruffles on your cards! Here's my card using 'Ellie Loves To Bake'

Es ist wieder Zeit für eine neue Herausforderung bei Your Next Stamp Challenge :) Diesmal möchte Maureen gerne gelegte Falten (pleats) und/oder etwas Gekräuseltes (ruffles) auf Euren Karten sehen!

Hier ist meine Karte mit 'Ellie Loves To Bake'

Unfortunately the picture has way to much light on it.. in real life the colors are not so glaring but more rich and a bit darker. It is so hard to get a good photo in the evening when it's dark outside. Will try to get a better one asap

Leider ist das Foto etwas überbelichtet bzw. viel zu hell und in Natura sind die Farben auch nicht so "schreiend" sondern etwas dunkler und schön(!) kräftig (eben nicht so schreiend). Es ist einfach so schwierig ein gescheites Foto zu machen wenn es abends immer so dunkel draußen ist. Ich werde auf alle Fälle versuchen noch ein besseres Foto zu machen.

Whimsy Digital New Release Blog Hop

Welcome to our February Whimsy Stamps digital new release blog hop  :)

We have lots of wonderful new images and sentiments to share with you, created by Crissy, Ann and Melissa!

Here's a card I made using one of the new 'I Heart You' sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs and 'Hearty Hippo' from Meljen's Designs:

To create the circle and ellipse cut outs I used my Silhouette, as well as for cutting out the little hearts I glued along the circle cut out. I put the overlay layer on 3 dimensional foam dots to give it a bit of dimension (don't know if you can see it very well in the picture?)

And here's a close up to show you the cut-outs .. hope you can see them better here in this picture?! oh.. and BTW... the colors in this close up picture are very close to the real colors.. the colors in the above pic are looking a bit washed out but I just couldn't get a better photo of the complete card *sigh*
