So Sweet

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Wednesday :-)
I am lucky enough to have two weeks off at the moment and I'm totally enjoying it!

I made a card using the principle of 'repetition'. To create the card I cut out a square piece from kraft cardstock and created a grid by sewing. I then punched out 8 1'' circles from patterned paper and put one circle in each of the little grid squares I created - except on the last square where I put on a fabric flower.
I added alphbet sentiments to the circles to create the sentiment 'So Sweet'
and a close up:

card recipe:
  • patterned papers - Basic Grey 'Two Scoops' 6x6 paper pad
  • tools - sewing machine
  • other supplies - Bazzill kraft cardstock, Basic Grey Bloomers from 'Hopscotch' collection, EK Success 1'' circle punch, Brilliance Moonlight White ink, Echo Park 'Country Drive' alphbet and heart sticker,  foam pads from stash, Glue Dots

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Wishing you all a wonderful day filled with laughter and joy :-)

You Are Out Of This World

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Monday!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend :-)
And for my friends who were hit by 'Irene': I hope you are all safe and sound!!!

Today I made this card using some patterned papers from the 'Out of Print' 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey. I also used some stamps from the Bo Bunny Press 'Blast Off!' clear stamp set and paper pieced the rocket and the satellite! I love my Silhoutte machine but did not use it too much lately, so I thought this is a good time to do ;-) So I cut out the 'OUT' twice with my SD machine (once with patterned paper and a second time slightly larger with red cardstock) - the rest of the sentiment was created using my Dymo label maker and some red tape.

The paper pieced stamps were cut out trimming closely and put on foam pads for some dimension.
I also added some red Stickles to highlight parts or it

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today! I would be delighted if you leave me a comment before you leave :-)

card receipe:
  • stamps - Bo Bunny Press 'Blast Off!'

{DT} - Home Decor

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Thursday :-)

I hope you are doing well while we here in the very South West of Germany  are 'melting away' with degrees around 100°F (around 36/37°C). It's nearly impossible to sit down and create something and I hope the heat will be over soon.

Today I want to share this little home decor project I did for the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine in August. You can find it here and the magazine has over 100 pages full packed with lots of inspirational cards, other projects and tutorials  -  and it's free!

For my 'bunch of flowers' I used various flowers from the 'Garden Flowers Set' and paper pieced them with patterned papers from the 'A Is For Apple' collab kit by The Digichick Designers.

Thanks for stopping by and I am wishing you all a wonderful day!

be merry

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Sunday :-)
I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Today I want to show you a christmas card.

I just {heart}  this cute and fun 'Gruffy Little Gnome' by Meljen's. This stamp image is available as digital stamp as well as in rubber!  I colored him using Tombows and watercolor pencils and highlighted parts with a white gel pen. Then I cut him out, trimming closely and put him on foam tape.

The patterned papers are from the adorable kit 'Santa's Little Helpers' by KimB Designs. For all of you who don't want to stamp and color themselves: She has some super cute and whimsical elements (like a Santa and his helper and trees etc.  in this kit. I think it's really worth to at least take a peak at it here

And here's a close up where I hope you can see the cut out gnome and trees and the dimension a bit better:

Ohhhh.... and did you notice: there is REAL sewing on this card ;-))))
*yeah* I got a mini sewing machine recently and this was my first try using it :D

Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday and hope you'll have a great start into the new week!

Shoot for the moon. Even if you fail, you'll land among the stars

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Wednesday :-)

I love this quote fom Brian Littrell and have used it a couple of times on cards, now.
Here is my newest version of it on this card made with the adorable patterned papers from October Afternoon and stamps from a clear stamp set by Bo Bunny.
I stamped and colored the stars and then cut them out trimming closely and set one of them on a pop dot for dimension and some interest. The sentiment was created using a little Dymo label tool and red tape

mini cards and some exciting news :-)

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Sunday :-)

First of all I am not able to help but have to brag a little bit, because I'm soooo excited!
Today I got a mail from a CARDS magazine editor who requested one of my cards for the January issue. After I had my very first request for a printed magazine last month (for CARDS December ;-) ) I am really super duper excited to have another card picked *yay*

Ok.. now onto the boring 'everday' creative stuff *lol*
Today I want to show you two 'minis' .. I had soooo much fun creating these cuties.
The papers are leftovers from Bo Bunny 'Ad Lib' 6x6 paper pad, I recently used for this card.

I stamped the grass on green patterned paper and cut it out, then did some faux stitching and added the grass to the card using some dimensional adhesive. I also stamped the little dog, colored him with brown Tombows and then adhered him behind the grass. This card is 2 x 2 inches small :-)

For the other card, I stamped the tree and bird on white papers, cut them out, trimming closesly and colored them with Tombows. I also adhered them with dimensional adhesive to the card. I let the bird sit on the twine. This card is 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 inches small.

I hope you'll enjoy your Sunday, my lovelies :-)

Best Wishes - Window Card

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Saturday :)

Today I want to show you a card I made for the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.
They teamed up with Glue Dots this week and they want to see cards using Glue Dots and glitter together in a creative way. So here's my card using Glue Dots and turquois glitter to create the center of the butterflies.

I don't know if you can see it properly but this is a 'window' card: I cut out a circle in the center of the card front so the journaling label with the 'Best Wishes' (that's adhered to the inside of the card!) can peek through.

It was really hard to photograph this in an appropriate way *sigh*
close ups:
card receipe:
  • stamps - Hero Arts ('Butterflies and Print' set and 'Congrats' set)
  • coloring medium - Tombow (dual brush pens)
  • cardstock - Bazzill (kraft), from stash (white)
  • patterned papers - October Afternoon ('Farm Fresh' collection)
  • tools - Big Shot
  • other supplies - Spellbinders (Nestabilities dies - classic circles large), EKSuccess (butterfly punch), paper piercing tool from stash, Sakura (white gel pen), foam pads from stash, turquois glitter from stash, Glue Dots (mini glue dots)

{DT} - Sit Reflect Breathe

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Wednesday :-)

Have you seen there is a blog hop going on at Whimsy Stamps to celebrate the new digi releases in August?!
There are lots of adorable new images from Crissy Armstrong, Moon Cookie Gallery, StampArt Design by Kathryn and Meljen's Designs. Plus you can win up to five digi images of your choice if you participate in the hop! The hop starts on the Whimsy Inspiartions Blog, right HERE

I am not part of the blog hop this month but wanted to show you a card I made with one of the beautiful new images by Moon Cookie Gallery. It's called 'Summer Shade' and I combined it with a sentiment from the 'On Thoughts' sentiment set by Raindrop Echo Designs.

And here are some additional close ups

I put on Stickles on the center of the flowers in the tree
I think the sentiment is just perfect for the tree:
and another close up to show you the ribbon, button and twine.. I really like the earthy feel of it :)

Wishing you all a wonderful Wendesday!

It's a... Boy!

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Tuesay :-)

My eye infection isn't getting any better yet and sometimes it's only haze I see   :-(
I hope the antibiotics will help and let it get better, today!

But anyway, I have another card to show you :-D
I created this New Baby card using papers from My Minds Eye 'Alphabet Soup' kit and die cuts from Jillibean Soup's 'Spotted Owl Soup'. The stamps are from a 'Baby' set of See D's (that are no longer available).

I want to enter this card into the current challenge at ...Wee Memories...
and also into Papertake Weekly where this week 'anything goes' :)

Christmas in July

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Monday :-)

I hope your start into the new week was great!
Mine was not so good, because I have a (bit painful) eye infection and I now have to take antibiotic eye drops and hope they'll help soon.

But however .. I can't live without cardmaking respectively blogging ;-)
And I did some projects during the last week and over the weekend, so I can show you some things here on my blog anyway :-)

I think we all know the phenomenon of Christmas is coming 'suddenly' and not having done enough Christmas cards?! ;-) So I thought I'd start creating mine right now in the middle of summer :-)
So here is my first Christmas card for the year
ETA: *lol*.. crazy me... totally missed it's AUGUST already.. so the title of the post should be 'Christmas in August'... sorry ;-))))

card receipe:
  • stamps - Hero Arts
  • patterned papers - Basic Grey 'Wassail' 6x6 paper pad
  • cardstock - Bazzill in kraft
  • other supplies - Versafine ink in Onyx Black, Versamark ink, Divine Baker's Twine in Cherry , Stickles in red, Christmas tree metal charm from stash
