pink and orange and my first ever rolled paper rose

 Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!
This is my second post today. If you want to enter my blog candy, please click HERE

I made the above card using some leftover scraps from 'Ambrosia' and 'Two Scoops' Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad. The paper 'rose' is my first ever selfmade rolled paper rose :)
I found a tutorial over on Dana's blog ~°~here~°~. Thanks so much for sharing, Dana!

The color combo is not what I usually would use, but I made this card for the color challenge this week over at The Outlawz, where they wanted to see pink and orange. And I have to admit: I love the result :)

Have a great day. Take care.

challenges:

card recipe:
  • stamps - Build a Flower clear stamp set by Autumn Leaves
  • design papers - from 'Ambrosia' and 'Two Scoops' 6x6 paper pads from Basic Grey
  • other supplies - crinkled ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique (etsy), cardstock from Bazzill, decorative pearl pin from Jenni Bowlin, Stickles Stardust from Ranger, foam pads from stash, Glue Dots
~°~ Thanks for visiting my blog ~°~

  19. Hi, Sylvia, I actually got on my blog to post a card... but could not resist visiting you... Your card is so very pretty and so shabby chic. Love the rose - excellent effort. Looks like someone who has been making it for a while. And the colour combo is awesome and the crushed ribbon fits in so well with those pins.

    Super card!

    Hugs,

    Monica
