Spring Cleaning

Sorry for my last post that has been empty (because Blogger decided to do crazy things via the iPad app - will delete this aweful app immediately!!!)
Here I am again with my announcement on offially being an International Spellblogger now, because my first post on the Spellbinders Paper Arts blog went online yesterday :-)
The theme during the week on Spellbinders blog was 'Spring Cleaning' and so I decided to show you ways to 'clean' your stash and use up some of your scraps by creating some spring ornaments and another fun home decor project (bonus).

Hier bin ich nun also noch einmal mit der Ankündigung, das ich nun also wirklich ganz offiziell ein International Spellblogger bin, denn mein erstes Posting auf dem Spellbinders Paper Arts Blog ist gestern online gegangen :-)

Das Thema der Woche auf dem Spellbinders Blog war 'Spring Cleaning' und so hab' ich mir gedacht, das ich Euch ein paar Ideen zeige, wie man seine Papierreste aufbrauchen kann und damit seinen Papier-Bestand ein wenig reduzieren (cleaning) kann und habe ein paar Frühlings-Ornamente inkl. Tutorial und ein weiteres witziges Home Dekor Projekt (als Bonus) gemacht.

Möchtet Ihr mir einen ganz großen Gefallen tun? Dann besucht doch den Spellbinders Blog und hinterlasst mir dort einen Kommentar... das wäre wirklich ganz wunderbar! Ich könnte ein wenig Aufmunterung wirklich gut gebrauchen ;-)

Spring Is Officially Here :)

Hi everyone and happy Sunday :-)
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far .. mine is great, because DH and 'Julie' passed the mantrailing examn with huge success *yay*.. I'm soooo proud of them both!!!
On the picture you can see Miss Julie with her 'trophee' (a huge chewing bone) *lol*

Ich hoffe Ihr habt bisher ein geniales Wochenende.... na meins ist schonmal super, weil mein lieber Ehemann heute erneut die Mantrailing Prüfung zusammen mit "Julie" mit großem Erfolg bestanden hat *juhu*.. bin soooooo stolz auf die beiden!!!

Hier seht Ihr Fräulein Julie mit Ihrer "Trophäe" (ein großer Kauknochen) *lol*

But I also have something creative ;-)
Since spring is finally here I had to create a spring card *bg*
Here's my card for the current challenge at Card Positioning Systems. Their simple sketch was just right along my alley and so it was a pleasure to create this card with this sketch.
I used some beautiful papers from We R Memory Keepers 'Peep' collection - 'Easter Parade'
Isn't that cool with all the cut flowers? Love it!
The patterned paper is part of the Scrapbook-Werkstatt April Kit that will be released tomorrow!
Just added a bit  of bling and some tine, then put it on dimensional foam adhesive to create this card.

Aber ich habe auch noch etwas Kreatives ;-)

Da ja endlich der Frühling eingekehrt ist, musste ich natürlich auch eine Frühlings Karte machen *bg*

Hier ist meine Karte für die aktuelle Challenge bei Card Positioning Systems. Der eher einfache Sketch ist genau das was ich gerne mag und so war es eine große Freude die Karte nach dem Sketch zu werkeln.

Ich habe die wunderbaren Papiere von We R Memory Keepers 'Easter Parade' aus der "Peep" Kollektion verwendet! Ist das nicht cool mit den ausgeschnittenen Blumen? Mir gefällt das total!

Das Papierchen ist auch im neuen April Kit der Scrapbook Werkstatt enthalten (ab morgen erhältlich!)

Ich hab' dann eigentlich nur noch ein bisschen "Bling" und Twine hinzugefügt, alles auf 3D Klebeplättchen gesetzt und fertig war die Karte.

LO: Narri-Narro!

Hi everyone and happy Friday :)

Today I want to show you a layout about our 'Carnival' traditions we have here in the Black Forest
I don't know a better word than 'Carnival' for this event, but I think it doesn't do the event justice as we celebrate it here.. I guess it's totally different from everything you know...

Where we live this event is called 'Fastnacht'!
We have processions and celebrations from Thursday to (Ash)Wednesday and people totally go crazy *lol*
There are lots and lots of groups that are participating on the processions.. some of them really have horrible masks and costumes!!! 

The pictures on this layout only show a few of these costumes (and these are the more 'lovely' ones *g*)
During the processions both the costumed groups and the audience is shouting out: 'Narri!' (long 'i'... like you are saying 'eek' ;)) and 'Narro!' (long 'o' like ooooooh)... sounds really funny! ;-)
  

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Freitag :-)

Heute möchte ich Euch ein Layout über unsere "Karnevals" Traditionen hier im südwestlichen Schwarzwald zeigen. Ich glaube, das wir hier im äußerten südwestlichsten Zipfel Deutschlands (ziemlich ländlicher Raum ;) ) schon sehr urige Traditionen haben und das sich unser "Karneval" auch sehr von dem unterscheidet, was man sonst so kennt.

Hier wird das ganze "Fastnacht" genannt! Und wir haben ziemlich viele Straßenumzüge mit vielen Cliquen, Gruppen und Gugge-Musiken, die fast alle immer komplett (inkl. Maske) kostümiert sind!

Viele dieser Masken und Verkleidungen sehen wirklich zum fürchten aus! 

Auf den Fotos vom Layout sind noch die "netteren" zu sehen.. es gibt echt fiese Gestalten bei diesen Umzügen 

Und anstatt "Helau", "Alaaf" und wie das sonst noch so im Rest Deutschlands heißt, ist der Ausruf hier in der schwäbisch allemannischen Fastnacht "Narri! Narro!" *g* .. hört sich lustig an :) :) :)
