Hi everyone and happy Tuesday :-)
Today is May 1st and it's public holiday here in Germany - so I had a little bit time to play with my goodies that came with the new Scrapbook Werkstatt May Kit.
With Mother's Day just around the corner I thought it could not hurt to create a card for this upcoming event ;-)
So here is my card using a 'wild card' from October Afternoon, a beautiful sparkly green crystal brad and papers from Echo Park and Websters Pages. Everything except for the ribbon and the 'mom' stamp (which is from Whimsy Stamps 'For the Women in Our Lives' sentiment stamp set) is part of the SBW May Kit :-)
Unfortunately, I recently have some problems with my sewing machine: It tends to 'skip' some stitches while using the zig zag stitch. Anyone has any suggestions what I can do to solve this problem? Any tips are very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

This is the perfect Mother's Day card, Sylvia! The reader reminds me of my early elementary days and reading Dick and Jane (not sure if they have that in Germany). :) You always have the most beautiful ribbon touches (and bows). Beautiful, as always! Oh, and about the stitching. You may want to check the tension on your machine. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Mother's Day card, Sylvia!!!! Awesome details!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! That is the perfect use for that little card. I don't have any tips for the sewing machine, but the straight stitching looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card, that image reminded me so much of my mum, what a brilliant book page! Love the whole creation!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card, love those vintage "mum" images, reminded me of my childhood....
