Card For a Friend



 Hi everyone and happy Sunday :)

Just a quick post today, to share a "Thank You" card for a friend, that was created by following the sketch from this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge:




I don't know why, but I went a little crazy with rhinestones *lol* ... maybe because it is so grey and ugly outside, that I thought a little *bling* on my card will brighten my day ;-)

Because I embellished the centre of the flower with lots of rhinestones, you may not be aware of the two-tone stamping I did on the flower at first sight. Therefore I thought I'd share a close-up of the flower where you -maybe- can see it. I stamped the flower in Radiant Neon Electric Blue + Electric Geen (see instructions below).

    Instructions
  • make 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" top folded card base from 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white cardstock and round lower corners
  • die cut base and top layer of "Funky Square Tag Fri-Dies" from white cardstock
  • color the tag base with Radiant Neon Electric Green using a Sponge Dauber to apply the ink
  • using a Fantastix Bullet Tip tool to emphasize the edges with Radiant Neon Electric Blue
  • ink flower ("Wonderful Words") with Radiant Neon Electric Blue, then use a sponge dauber to pick up some Radiant Neon Electric Green and sponge it in the centre of the flower stamp
  • stamp two-toned flower on top layer of tag
  • create a sparkly flower centre using blue glitter embellishment and clear rhinestones
  • stamp sentiment ("Wallflower") with Memento London Fog onto card front
  • embellish with clear rhinestones
  • mount all tag layers onto the card front using dimensional foam pads
  • create a double bow from white-silver twine and adhere to card using mini glue dots
