Thanks So Much - Mixed Media Meets CAS

 

Hi everyone and happy Monday :)

Today, I am sharing something that is a little bit unusual for me! It's kind of a mixed style, where "Mixed Media" meets "CAS" :)

My starting point was the tag! I was just experimenting with the new and oh so adorable (and literally) irRESISTible Sprays from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.

I had so much fun playing around with these acrylic texture sprays and some various inks.

I decided to only use warm colors and therefore I used some Memento Luxe, Memento and Delicata Golden Glitz inks. I also colored the flowers with Memento markers in Dandelion. You may not be able to see it very well here in the pictures, but it looks really pretty IRL :)

Ok, but now back to todays card:

When I decided, the tag was finished ... the question was: what to do with it now? 

If you know me, I am sure you know I love cards with lots of white space, and so I decided to cut the tag to a smaller size and just mount it onto a white card.

I hope you like it! I sure will be experimenting more with this "mixed style" in future... let's see where it will lead to.... ;-)

Instructions spritz manila tag with irRESISTibles in Love Letter; let dry using an Ink Blusher, wipe Memento Luxe Dandelion + Marocco over the entire tag; let dry stamp background ("Out Loud" stamp set) randomly onto tag with Delicata Golden Glitz; let dry stamp upper part of flowers ("Truth Is" stamp set) onto tag with Memento Espresso Truffle color in flower petals with Memento Marker Dandelion color length of white seam binding with Memento Luxe Dandelion by directly wiping the ink pad over the seam binding; let seam binding dry thoroughly thread yellow seam binding through tag whole and wrap around natural twine, tying it into a bow embellish tag with yellow enamel dots create top folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base from 4 1/4" x 11" white cardstock and round lower right corner stamp "thanks" with Memento Espresso Truffle and "so much" with Memento Marocco onto card front (stamps from "Wonderful Words" stamp set) mount tag to card front using dimensional foam pads embellish card with clear rhinestones
