Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw. To be entered into today's mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog on 29 August.

Here's my card creation using the new "Cabaret" rubber stamp designed by KennyK
I also used an oldie but goodie sentiment from the "The Fun Life Tickets" stamp set

Washi Tape Card - it's all about the attitude

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)
I hope you all will have a wonderful and sunny weekend!

Today I want to show you a card, that I created by using Washi Tapes!
The new (Duo-)Washi Tapes from Scrapbook-Werkstatt!
They are genious and I totally adore their colors and designs :)
And since I wasn't able to decide which one of the awesome nine designs to use first, I just used them ALL to create the background of my card ;-)

The image stamp is KennyK and available in rubber from Whimsy Stamps. The film strip sentiment as well as the matching die is also from Whimsy Stamps. The KennyK stamp was colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens, then I cut the image out, trimming closely and put it on some dimensional foam adhesive.
Some distressing around the white cardbase and a bit of faux stitching around the card background - and the card is finished :)

Wishes of a Happy Birthday

Hi everyone and Happy Easter :)

*woohoo*.. I created another card.. two cards in two days in a row.. unbelievable ;-)

After visiting Annika's blog a few days ago where I saw her GORGEOUS mermaid with black hair (she did it for the current Make It Colourful challenge), I absolutely wanted to try to do black hair myself  - I think I've never done black hair before!

BTW: You absolutely should go and take a look at Annika's work on her blog, if you don't know her by now.. she's one of the most talented AND super sweet people I ever met in 'blog land'!

And as you may know I don't own any Copics...so it was a bit difficult for me, because there are TONS of tutorials for black hair using Copics around blog land but I've never seen one for Tombows or even watercolor pencils (and that's what I have *lol*)

So the only thing I could do was just give it a try ;-))) and this is my result ... anything but perfect ... but I think it's ok for the first attempt ...
