Hourglass of Love

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday :)

Today I am sharing a layered and simple card (instead of a "clean"+simple card ;-) )!
I had some fun using Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko's Firework! and Sheer Shimmer Spritz sprays on the doily (that was originally plain white). I hope you can see the awesome shimmer from the sprays in the close up (see below)

The focal point was created by stamping the hour glass with in light pink and then I overstamped the sentiment with a medium dark grey Memento ink.

I did some die cutting for the layers and added rhinestones for some extra pizzazz ;-)

As always, you can find the step-by-step instructions and a complete list of supplies below this post in the grey boxes :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

Thanks For Everything

Hi everyone and happy Monday :)

Today I am sharing a "Thank You" / "Friendship" card with you, that I created for this weeks Clean and Simple Card Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge this week is to create a clean and simple card with a tag or tab. I decided to go with the tag :)

I don't have tag die, so I just created this one myself by cutting a rectangle from white cardstock and using a regular circle die to create the curve on top of the tag.

As always, you can find the detailed step-by-step instructions and a complete list of supplies below this post in the grey boxes :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

    Instructions
  • make 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base from 4 1/4" x 11" white cardstock and round lower corners
  • cut 2 1/4" x 4 1/4" rectangle from white cardstock, slip upper edge of tag through circle die and run through die cutting machine to create a curve on top of the tag and punch small hole into tag
  • cut 2 1/4" x 1" piece of pink patterned cardstock and adhere to lower part of the tag
  • wrap a pink twine around the tag twice and tie into a bow
  • randomly stamp butterflies ("Butterbows") with Memento Angel Pink onto upper part of tag
  • stamp sentiment parts ("Wallflower") with Memento Gray Flannel onto tag (over butterflies)
  • cut a length of white seam binding (approx. 6") and color with Memento Luxe Lilac Posies by wiping the ink pad over the seam binding

Season's Greetings Christmas Card

Hi everyone and happy Thursday :)

Today I am sharing a Christmas card with you, that felt kind of "wrong" to me, at first *lol*
I used to create this kind of cards a lot in former times!
But since I discovered "my" style which is mostly clean and simple, I have not done something "dark" and "shabby" (aka distressed) and "squiggly" (because of the die I used) for a long time now!

But since this card is intended to be given to a lady who admires this style much more than my usual clean and simple style, I pushed myself to "just do it" *lol* - and so I did and this is the result.

I stamped the image (Whimsy Stamps) in Tuxedo Black Memento, then colored it with Memento markers.  One more thing I don't do much lately... coloring stamped images....
It was really fun to try these Memento markers for the very first time!
And they are really easy to color with (but I admit: I have to do a Little bit more practice to get better ;-) )

After I colored and die cut the focal image, I went over the edges with New Sprout Memento inks and an Ink Blusher to apply and then I highlighted all the edges with Delicata Golden Glitz inks using a sponge dauber.

Here's a close up so you can see the gorgeouness of the Delicata Golden Glitz ink! I have to say that I really love this ink!
Now, please keep your fingers crossed for me, that the lady who will receive this card will like it! :)

The next project shown on this blog will be a clean and simple one, again *wink* because tomorrow starts a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you back again for a visit on my blog, soon!

Birthday Wishes Come True

Hi everyone and happy Thursday :)
Today I am sharing a Birthday card that I made with one of the adorable patterned papers from Carta Bella's Giddy Up Girl collection, a sentiment stamp from Whimsy Stamps and a label die from Spellbinders.
I highlighted the word "Love" with a pink Tombow marker pen, then did a little bit of faux stitching (as usual ;-) ) and randomly glued down some pink sequins.
Besides the faux stitching, the card was pretty easy and quick to make! It was like all the awesome materials did the work for me all by themselves ;-)
