Season's Greetings Christmas Card

Hi everyone and happy Thursday :)

Today I am sharing a Christmas card with you, that felt kind of "wrong" to me, at first *lol*
I used to create this kind of cards a lot in former times!
But since I discovered "my" style which is mostly clean and simple, I have not done something "dark" and "shabby" (aka distressed) and "squiggly" (because of the die I used) for a long time now!

But since this card is intended to be given to a lady who admires this style much more than my usual clean and simple style, I pushed myself to "just do it" *lol* - and so I did and this is the result.

I stamped the image (Whimsy Stamps) in Tuxedo Black Memento, then colored it with Memento markers.  One more thing I don't do much lately... coloring stamped images....
It was really fun to try these Memento markers for the very first time!
And they are really easy to color with (but I admit: I have to do a Little bit more practice to get better ;-) )

After I colored and die cut the focal image, I went over the edges with New Sprout Memento inks and an Ink Blusher to apply and then I highlighted all the edges with Delicata Golden Glitz inks using a sponge dauber.

Here's a close up so you can see the gorgeouness of the Delicata Golden Glitz ink! I have to say that I really love this ink!
Now, please keep your fingers crossed for me, that the lady who will receive this card will like it! :)

The next project shown on this blog will be a clean and simple one, again *wink* because tomorrow starts a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you back again for a visit on my blog, soon!

Shaped Christmas Easel Card

Hi everyone and happy Monday :)
Today I'm sharing a label shaped easel card with you that I have created for the latest issue of Whimsy Stamps Inspirations magazine, which is available as a free online version as well as a printed magazine!
But I have not only created this card but there's also a pictured step-by-step tutorial on how to make one yourself in the magazine on page 78-79 :)
I hope you like it!

this is what the card looks like, when it's closed (to be mailed)

Joy and Peace

Hi everyone and happy Thursday :)
Today I am sharing a card with you that I created for the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine Issue 10 (that is not only available online, but also in print).
I've also done a tutorial for a card with a scalloped border like this: you can find it on the Spellbinders Blog if you are interested in taking a peek :)
The papers I've used are from Basic Grey's old "Fruitcake" collection. But even though it's an oldie, for me it's also a good one! Still like these papers a lot ;)
The dies are from Spellbinders Paper Arts, and the rhinestone/pearl embellishments are Prima Marketing.

Scrapbook-Werkstatt September Kit: Sneak Peeks

Hi everyone and happy Monday :-)
I hope you enjoyed your weekend! It's still **hot** over here and no end in sight... (I guess most Europeans know what I'm speaking about)
Anyway.. I did a bit of crafting over the last days and I am now going to show you some sneaks of projects I did using the new September kit from Scrapbook-Werkstatt available from August 27th on!
Ladies (and gents) I'm sure you will not miss this wonderful kit
So without further ado.. here are some 'snippets' for you ....

Hi everyone and happy Monday :-)
Today I have another card to show you, that I've made using goodies that came with the August kit from Scrapbook Werkstatt. Well... what I said... the kit is adorable! And I guess that's the reason it's already sold out *oops*
So if you weren't lucky enough to grab one this time, maybe you're faster and get one next month:-)))

I've created this card by following a sketch from the challenge blog "retro sketches". Totally loved working with this sketch :-)
