CAS-ual Fridays March Release: Sneak Peek Day 1

Hi everyone and happy Sunday :)

Today is our first sneak peek day for the brand new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps March release!
The DT members are featuring the new "Clover" stamp set, today!


We don't celebrate St.Patricks Day here in Germany, but this new stamp set is so versatile, that you can also use it for an "ordinary" friendship card (while I would say, a card for a dear friend is never "ordinary" :-) )

    Instructions
  • create 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" top folded card base from 4 1/4" x 11" white cardstock
  • cut 4" x 5 1/4" green patterned paper and adhere to cardfront
  • repeatedly stamp row of clovers with Memento Luxe Pear Tart ink onto 3" x 4" white cardstock, until the panel is completely covered; adhere panel to card front using dimensional foam tape
  • die cut label from patterned paper
  • die cut smaller label from white cardstock
  • stamp "Best friends..." sentiment with Memento Luxe Lilac Posies
  • mount labels to card front using dimensional foam tape
  • embellish with lilac pearls

Season's Greetings

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Dienstag :)
Today I have another Christmas card to share. This is a very traditional card using green and red and lots of gold :)
Heute habe ich eine weitere Weihnachtskarte mitgebracht. Diese ist sehr traditionall gehalten in grün, rot und viel gold :)
I tried a new -to me- embossing powder: Imagine Crafts "Gold" together with Versamark ink for the stamping and I really *love* how it turned out! 
Great coverage and it melted just perfectly (evenly and smooth) when heating it!
Ich habe hier ein neues (naja, jedenfalls für mich ist es neu) Embossing Pulver ausprobiert: Imagine Crafts "Gold" zusammen mit einem Versamark Stempelkissen und ich bin wirklich begeistert vom Ergebnis! Das Embossing Pulver hat gut am Versamark gehaftet und beim erhitzen ist es perfekt (schön gleichmäßig und ebenmäßig) geschmolzen!
The papers and sentiment stamp are from Echo Park, the gold cord is from May Arts and the golden sequins are from Jenni Bowlin.
Die Papiere, sowie der Sprüchestempel sind jeweils von Echo Park, die goldene Kordel ist von May Arts und die goldenen Pailletten stammen von Jenni Bowlin.

Congrats on your Graduation

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday :)
Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Mittwoch :)
Today I'm sharing a "Congrats" card for graduation :) This one is for a young man, therefore I kept the colors "cool" in white, aqua and black with a tiny hint of yellow on the bomb.
Heute zeige ich Euch eine Glückwunschkarte zur bestandenen Prüfung :) Diese ist für einen jungen Mann gedacht und darum habe ich die Karte in eher "kühlen" Farben wie blau, weiß und schwarz gehalten mit einem klitzekleinen Tüpfelchen gelb bei der Bombe.

Thank You Teacher - CAS-ual Fridays #114

Hi everyone and happy Friday :)
I am normally a happy girl on Fridays, but not this time. Why? Because it means my holidays and Summer break at school both are almost over and the kids will have to go to school again on Monday and I will have to go to work on Tuesday *boo*
But at least there is one really positive thing today: a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is starting :-D

Normalerweise bin ich ja immer sehr froh darüber, wenn endlich Freitag ist, diesmal aber eher nicht. Warum? Weil heute der letzte Ferientag für die Zwerge und ebenfalls mein vorletzter Urlaubstag ist. D.h. die Kids müssen am Montag wieder in die Schule und ich am Dienstag wieder ins Büro *schnief*
Aber immerhin gibt es einen Lichtblick am heutigen Tag: Es gibt nämlich eine neue CAS-ual Fridays Challenge :-D

Since I don't have any stamps or dies especially for this occasion, I decided to use a primary color scheme along with a "notepad" background paper and one of the adorable sentiment stamps from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Big Thanks" set to create a teacher "thank you" card :-)


Da ich keine speziellen Stempel für diese Gelegenheit besitze, habe ich mich dazu entschieden mit Primärfarben und einem Hintergrundpapier zu arbeiten, das an ein liniertes Papier aus einem Schulheft erinnert. Außerdem habe ich einen der Sprüche aus dem "Big Thanks" Stempelset von CAS-ual Fridays Stamps benutzt um eine "Dankeschön" Karte für einen Lehrer zu gestalten.
Das ist hierzulande zwar eher unüblich, aber in letzter Zeit bemerke ich das dieser amerikanische Brauch auch hier Einzug gehalten hat. Und ich finde das eigentlich auch eine sehr nette Geste gegenüber den Lehrern :)

May All Your Dreams Come True

Hi everyone and happy Monday :)
Today I'm sharing my first card that I got finished for "Summer Card Camp 2"
I was thinking back and forth whether to take this class or not and decided to take it at the end of the first week, so I'm a bit behind ;-)
But anyway.. here's my first card I have made. I followed the given color combination for week two (but did not use any of the sketches). 
I have used a brown chalk ink, a cream cardstock, light and dark green Tombow markers (+ dark green pearls and light green rhinestones) and a light blue patterned paper. This way I used all colors (even though it might not be obvious at first sight) :)

Heute möchte ich Euch die erste Karte zeigen, die ich für "Summer Card Camp 2" fertig gestellt habe.
Ich hab' hin- und herüberlegt ob ich mir diesen Workshop leisten soll oder nicht und hab' mich erst zum Ende der ersten Woche dazu entschieden, darum bin ich jetzt ziemlich hintendran ;-)
Aber egal.. hier ist die erste Karte, die ich gemacht habe. Ich habe mich an der Farbkombi orientiert, die für die zweite Woche vorgegeben war (allerdings habe ich keinen der Sketche benutzt).
Ich habe ein braunes Chalk Stempelkissen verwendet, einen cremefarbenen Cardstock, hell- und dunkelgrüne Tombow Marker (+ dunkelgrüne Perlchen sowie hellgrüne Glitzersteinchen) und dazu ein hellblaues gemustertes Papier. Somit habe ich alle Farben verwendet (auch wenn es nicht so gleich auf den ersten Blick erkennbar und offensichtlich ist) :)

The Sky's The Limit

Gestern hatte ich tolle Post im Briefkasten: Lawn Fawn hatte mir nämlich zwei Stempelsets geschickt - für eine meiner Karten mit Lawn Fawn Stempeln, die in einem Magazin veröffentlicht wurden!
Ich liebe diese "Publication Incentive" Programme!!! *nur mal so sagen wollte* ;-)

And when I saw this weeks sketch on the CAS(E) this sketch! challenge blog, I KNEW this is perfect for the "Blue Skies" stamp set!

Und als ich den aktuellen Sketch auf dem CAS(E) this sketch! Challenge
Blog sah, wusste ich sofort dass das "Blue Skies" Set perfekt dafür ist!


The patterned papers on this card are from Echo Parks "Totally Teal" collection and these papers are content of Scrapbook Werkstatt's July paper kit "Frisch" (German for "fresh" :-) )
I did a little bit of paper piecing and fussy cutting and used a gray Tombow marker to create a little bit of shading for some more dimension.
 
Das gemusterte Papier stammt aus Echo Parks "Totally Teal" Serie und die verwendeten Papiere sind Teil des Juli Papierkits "Frisch" von der Scrapbook Werkstatt!
Ich hab' einiges auf gemustertes Papier gestempelt und dann Teile davon konturengenau ausgeschnitten und alles wieder zusammengesetzt (für diejenigen, die das noch nicht wissen: Die Technik  heißt "Paper Piecing") und außerdem habe ich hier und da noch mit einem grauen Tombow Stift Schatten gemalt um dem ganzen noch ein wenig mehr Dimension zu verleihen.

Just a Note

Today I'm sharing a sunny card with you that I made with supplies that come with the brand new Scrapbook Werkstatt July Kit (available as of June 26th) and one of the additional paper kits!
The sentiment is from a stamp set by Whimsy Stamps, inks are from Hero Arts and the label die is from Spellbinders.

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Sonntag :)
Heute möchte ich Euch eine sonnige Karte zeigen, die ich mit den Materialien aus dem brandneuen Juli Kit der Scrapbook Werkstatt (erhältlich ab dem 26. Juni), sowie einem der zusätzlichen Papierkits gemacht habe!
Der Spruch ist ein Stempel aus einem Whimsy Stamps Set, Stempelfarbe ist von Hero Arts und die Stanze ist von Spellbinders.

CAS-ual Fridays: Red, White and Blue

 It's time for another CAS-ual Fridays challenge *woot*
And this week we dare you to:

Es ist Zeit für eine neue CAS-ual Fridays Challenge *juhu*
Und die Herausforderung für diese Woche lautet:
 
 

in honor of Memorial Day in the US, use the colors of their flag: red, white and blue
zu Ehren des US amerikanischen Memorial Day, verwendet wir diesmal die Farben ihrer Flagge: rot, weiß und blau

 For my card, I stamped the "Wish Big" sentiment from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Bold Wishes" set with red Hero Arts ink onto a white label die, that I cut out with the "Labels Twenty-Eight" set from Spellbinders Paper Arts. The strip of patterned paper on the left side of the card is from Echo Park Papers "Sweet Girl" collection. A bit of paper pricking, some sequins here and there and twine, tied in a bow with a small white pearl on top. Rounding the lower round corners of the base panels, then putting everything together with dimensional foam adhesive. That's it :)

Für meine Karte habe ich das "Wish Big" aus dem CAS-ual Fridays Stamps "Bold Wishes" Set mit einem roten Stempelkissen von Hero Arts auf ein weißes Label Stanzteil gestempelt.
Das Label habe ich mit dem Stanzenset "Labels Twenty-Eight" von Spellbinders Paper Arts gemacht. Das gemusterte Papier auf der linken Seite ist aus der "Sweet Girl" Serie von Echo Park Papers.
Ein wenig Pricking, ein paar Pailletten hier und da, etwas Twine zur Schleife gebunden mit einem kleinen Perlchen oben drauf. Noch die unteren rechten Ecken der Basisteile abgerundet, dann alles mit 3D Pads zusammen gesetzt. Das war's auch schon :)

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday :)
Today I'm sharing another card with your where I used the adorable papers (and twine), that comes with the new Scrapbook-Werkstatt April Kit.
The papers used on my card are from Studio Calico and Echo Park.
The stamp is from a postage sentiment set by Whimsy Stamps and the chevron die is from a die set by My Favorite Things (these are NOT content of the kit!)

Der "Post"-Stempel ist aus einem Set von Whimsy Stamps und die Chevron Bordüre habe ich mit einer Stanze aus einem Set von My Favorite Things gestanzt (die sind NICHT im Kit enthalten!)

You Are Terrific

 Hi everyone and happy Tuesday :)
Today is the 26th of March and this means reveal of the new Scrapbook-Werkstatt April Kit with lots of gorgeous patterned papers, stickers, alphas and other goodies! 
And here's one more card I made with the beautiful papers that come with the kit
The papers are from Echo Park and Dear Lizzy (American Crafts)
For the card I used a technique that I saw in the "Pattern Play" workshop at Online Card Classes - layering with white/neutrals underneath! And even though I do layering by using dimensional foam adhesive all the time and for a long time now, I like the (new to me) idea of using a white pendant behind the popped up layer. Looks nice (but to be honest I'm not sure the result is worth the extra effort/material... I think it depends on the kind of project you are making)
The sentiment stamp that I used here on the card is form CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and all dies are from Spellbinders Paper Arts. These are NOT part of the kit!

Und hier möchte ich Euch noch eine weitere Karte zeigen, die ich mit den Kit-Papieren gemacht habe.

Und obwohl ich nun wirklich beinahe auf jeder Karte Layer mit 3D Pads gestalte ist der Gedanke darunter das weiße Pendant dazu anzubringen für mich neu gewesen. Ich finde es sieht ganz nett aus (obwohl ich nicht weiß ob ich das in Zukunft nochmal machen werde bzw. ob es den Aufwand wert ist.. kommt wohl ganz auf die Karte und die Art der Layer drauf an)
 Der Stempel, den ich auf der Karte benutzt habe ist von CAS-ual Fridays Stamps und alle Stanzen sind von Spellbinders Paper Arts. Sie sind NICHT Teil des Kits!
