Love You a Latte

Hi everyone and happy Sunday :)

Today I want to share a clean and simple card to be given to your sweet heart :)
It's simple (well, as all of my cards are ;-) ) and easy to create!

I have used the "Coffee Break Additions" stamp set and the two of the *awsome* border dies from the "Stitched Border Die Trio" from Clearly Whimsy Stamps.

The ink I have used is Versafine Onyx Black from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko (my *go to* black ink) and the heart was colored with Memento markers in Lady Bug and Rosebud.
The little tag is also a die from Whimsy Stamps: "Slider 1 Die" (from the Shapeology collection)

Please refer to the grey boxes below this post for step-by-step instructions and a complete list of supplies :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

    Instructions
  • create top folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card from white cardstock
  • cut 3 3/4" x 5" panel from white cardstock and use the straight stitched line from "Stitched Border Dies Trio" for top and the curved stitched line from "Stitched Border Dies Trio" for bottom of the panel and run it through die cutting machine
  • use the leftover piece from white panel and use the curved stitched line for top and the straight stitched line for the bottom and run it through die cutting machine
  • cut an strip from patterned paper: 5" wide and approx. 2" high and adhere underneath/between the two die cut panels (refer to picture for placement)
  • die cut tag with "slider 1" from white cardstock and stamp sentiment from "Coffee Break Additions" with Versafine Onyx Black
  • stamp heart with Versafine Onyx Black onto right side of the tag and color with Memento markers in Lady Bug and Rosebud
  • stamp espresso can from "Coffee Break Additions" set with Versafine Onyx Black onto a scrap piece of silver specialty paper
  • cut out the stamped espresso can and affix it together with the slider tag to card front.
  • embelllish tag with red bakers twine and  heart with a tiny clear rhinestone
  • mount panel to card front using foam tape

  • some twine from Garn&Mehr.

All color media (inks and texture spray) are from Imagine Crafts / Tsukineko!

XOXOXO - Valentine's Card

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)

Isn't it unbelievable how fast time flies?
It seems like Christmas was only yesterday but Valentine's Day is next week, already.... oh man.... really?

Well, for my card I have used the lovely, versatile sketch from Joni Andaya for CAS(E) this Sketch! to create ... yep, you already guessed it ;-) ... another Valentine's card.

At first, I planned to put the white panel straight onto the card front (this way, the sketch would have been more obvious), but in the end I decided to put it down at an angle, so the arrows  on the patterned paper in the background have the same direction and "flow" like the heart cut out :)

Please refer to the grey boxes below this post for step-by-step instructions and a complete list of supplies :)

With All My Heart - Valentine's Day Card in Purple

Hi everyone and happy Sunday :)

Today I am sharing a purple Valentine's Day card *gasp*

Oh my word! Purple is absolutely so not my color to create with! I always struggle when creating with this color.

Yes, purple can look beautiful! I see a lot of gorgeous cards around using this color but still, it is one of my personal biggest challenges to use this color *lol*

But that's the meaning of a challenge, right? To dare yourself to do something, you usually would not do! Therefore I decided to take the challenge of the current CAS*ology Challenge and create a card with purple *lol*

As always, you can find the step-by-step instructions and a complete list of supplies below this post in the grey boxes :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)
