It seems, I am in Christmas cardmaking fever, recently *lol*

But hey.. it's only 7 weeks until December 25th! Therefore...high time to start creating your Christmas greetings for all your loved ones!

For the card shown above I have used one of the newly released stamp sets from Clearly Whimsy Stamps "Sparkle and Shine" together with my go to inks from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and the dies, you may have noticed a LOT on my cards, recently. This is the curved one from the "Stitched Border Die Trio" which was also designed by SC Design for Clearly Whimsy Stamps.

Instructions create top folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card from white cardstock and round lower corners cut rectangle from white cardstock, approx. 1/2" smaller than card front and die cut the lower edge with the curved stitched border and the upper edge with the straight stitched border from the "Stitched Border Die Trio" stamp the chain of lights with Versafine Onyx Black on top of the white panel stamp the light bulbs with Brilliance Galaxy Gold and Brilliance Rocket Red partially ink the sentiment stamp from the "Sparkle and Shine" stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black, Brilliance Rocket Red and Brilliance Galaxy Gold and stamp it at the bottom embellish with clear rhinestones mount panel to card front using dimensional tape

XOXOXO - Valentine's Card

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)

Isn't it unbelievable how fast time flies? 
It seems like Christmas was only yesterday but Valentine's Day is next week, already.... oh man.... really?

Well, for my card I have used the lovely, versatile sketch from Joni Andaya for CAS(E) this Sketch! to create ... yep, you already guessed it ;-) ... another Valentine's card.

At first, I planned to put the white panel straight onto the card front (this way, the sketch would have been more obvious), but in the end I decided to put it down at an angle, so the arrows  on the patterned paper in the background have the same direction and "flow" like the heart cut out :)

Instructions create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" top folded card base from 4 1/4" x 11" white cardstock cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of patterned paper and adhere to card front cut a 3 3/8" x 4 3/8" piece of white cardstock  and create a faux stitching border by using a paper piercing tool and a Memento Marker in Lady Bug (to draw the faux thread between the holes) die cut heart ("Heart Board Fri-Dies") in upper half of  the panel stamp "XOXOXO" ("Love Notes" set) with Brilliance Rocket Red wrap blue twine around white panel and tie into bow mount panel to card front on an angle using dimensional foam tape embellish with clear rhinestones
