And here is my card for today :)

The stamp sets I used in my very bright and fun Birthday card are "Birthday Balloon" and "Basic Borders 2".

And here is how I did the card:
First I cut a square panel from white cardstock approx 1/2" smaller than the cardfront.
Then I stamped the checkerboard border in pink Neon inks around the panel to create a frame.
I stamped the dog balloon and "awesome" sentiment with Memento red inks onto a piece of scrap cardstock and cut the banner word as well as the balloon out, trimming closely.
I stamped the "awesome" sentiment again, this time directly onto the card front with Versafine black ink and mounted the balloon and "awesome" banner word with dimensional foam tape onto the card front.

Et voila... there you have a bright and fun Birthday card ;-)

Finally, we would like to let you know that our friends over at StampNation are celebrating their 4th birthday this week and Whimsy Stamps is one of their sponsors! As well as giving away some great prizes, we also have a special offer for StampNation members - you can find details about this on the StampNation site. We hope you've enjoyed this release! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

showCASe your style #6

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)

After some chaotic weeks, I think (hope) I am back to normal, finally :-)

Today I want to show you my card for the brand new showCASe your style challenge :)

This time our challenge is to follow a color scheme. I love this color combo, because it's fresh, beautiful and reminds me of Spring!

For this card I used my beloved -and often used- "Happy Everything" stamp set from Clearly Whimsy Stamps together with my favorite inks from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.

I would be delighted if you decide to visit our showCASe your style challenge blog and take part!  You have two weeks to play along!

Can't wait to see what *you* will come up with! :)

Please refer to the grey boxes below this post for a complete list of supplies :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

I hope you will stop by their blog and maybe leave me a comment over there.
That would be super awesome :)

Merry & Bright

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)

It seems, I am in Christmas cardmaking fever, recently *lol*
But hey.. it's only 7 weeks until December 25th! Therefore...high time to start creating your Christmas greetings for all your loved ones!

For the card shown above I have used one of the newly released stamp sets from Clearly Whimsy Stamps "Sparkle and Shine" together with my go to inks from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and the dies, you may have noticed a LOT on my cards, recently. This is the curved one from the "Stitched Border Die Trio" which was also designed by SC Design for Clearly Whimsy Stamps.

Please refer to the grey boxes below this post for step-by-step instructions and a complete list of supplies :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

Sending "Pots" of Love

Hi everyone and happy Monday :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was lovely with lots of sun and time to relax :-)

Today I want to share an OLC (= one layer card) with you that I made with the stamp sets "In The Garden" and "In The Garden Additions" by SC Designs for Clearly Whimsy Stamps.

I stamped the pot with Memento in "Pottery Clay", and the heart "flowers" with Memento in "Love Letter". I then drew the stems with a Memento Marker in "New Sprout" and stamped the leave with a Memento ink pad in "New Sprout".

The sentiment was inked with Versafine in "Onyx Black" and I stamped it right over the pot :)

The lower right corner of the card was rounded with a "Corner Chomper" tool and to finish the card I put some rhinestones here and there :-)

Please refer to the grey box below this post for a detailed list of supplies :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

Life Is Good

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday :)

I am back with another card using the new Radiant Neon inks from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko :)

Yes, you read it right! The background was done with Neon inks! I bet you would never have guessed it?! This is something I totally LOVE about these inks! You can use them in so many ways and achieve such different effects with them! Wether you want a bright and bold card (*click* for: sample 1 and sample 2) or create a more subtle background, like I did in this card with my "sunset": These inks always have a wonderful luminance :)

You can read all about the process (how I did this background) in the grey boxes below this post.

I kept the card quiet simple, because I thought this focal point deserves to take center stage and didn't need more than two dimensional layers of white cardstock behind it :-D

BTW: You definitely should stop by the IMAGINE Crafts blog, where my amazingly talented team mate Darsie Bruno created another "sunset" card using Radiant Neon inks, but her card is even MORE gorgeous and glowing and just super STUNNING!!! You can find her card (incl. a tutorial with step-by-step pictures), HERE
Do yourself a favor and go CHECK IT OUT!!! :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)
