The year is almost over and it's the 30th of December and this means it's also time for another sketch challenge at Cardabilities! :) Karan Gerber came up with another beautiful sketch and I would love to see what you can do with it! Together - Cardabilities #65

  
Hi everyone and happy  Saturday :)

Today is reveal day for a new sketch from the talented Karan Gerber for Cardabilities.
I would be delighted if YOU would take a little time and participate in our challenge, which is also the first challenge for the new DT, that I am -again- part of :)

The patterned papers and stickers are from Carta Bellas "Traditions" collection and I just did a little distressing using some Walnut Stain Distress inks all around the edges of the papers and stickers. Then I added some pearls for a little bling.

Not sure if you can see it in the pictures, properly, but the blue flower background is not plain, but I cut out an additional label shape and put it onto the base using some dimensional foam adhesive. It gives a nice dimension and adds some interest to the card IRL
I've also put the "Together" and flower stickers onto some dimensional foam adhesive.

Heute gibt es einen neuen Sketch der talentierten Karan Gerber für Cardabilities.
Und ich würde mich wahnsinnig freuen wenn IHR Euch die Zeit nehmen würdet und mitmacht, denn es ist auch die erste Challenge für das neue DT Team, zu dem ich auch -wieder- gehöre! :)

Das gemusterte Papier und die Sticker sind alle aus der Carta Bella "Traditions" Kollektion und ich hab' einfach nur ein wenig mit Distress Walnut Stain Stempelfarbe rund um die Ecken der Papiere und Sticker gewischt. Dann hab' ich noch ein paar Perlchen hinzugefügt für ein kleines bisschen *bling*.

Ich weiß nicht ob man es auf den Bildern gut erkennen kann, aber der blaue Blümchen-Hintergrund ist nicht einfach flach, sondern ich habe noch eine Label-Form aus demselben Papier ausgestanzt und diese mit 3D Klebepads auf den Hintergrund drauf gesetzt. Das sieht wirklich ganz hübsch aus IRL und gibt dem ganzen ein wenig Dimension und wirkt dadurch auch optisch interessanter.
Auch die "Together"- und Blümchen-Sticker hab' ich auf 3D Pads gesetzt.

Let It Snow (Card) and Some Exciting News

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday :)
Today I'm sharing a project with the same title than my tag from the day before yesterday (Let It Snow) ;-) but this time it's a card made with the newly released Scrapbook Werkstatt "Von Drauß' vom Walde komm ich her..." winter/Christmas paper collection.
I've also used a sentiment stamp from Whimsy Stamps and Spellbinders Paper Arts Standard Circles and Lacey Circles dies.

Heute zeige ich Euch ein Projekt mit demselben Titel wie mein Tag von vorgestern (Let It Snow) ;-) allerdings ist es diesmal eine Karte, die ich mit den brandneuen Papieren aus der Scrapbook Werkstatt "Von Drauß' vom Walde komme ich her..." Winter/Weihnachts-Kollektion gemacht habe.
Außerdem hab' ich einen Stempel von Whimsy Stamps und Spellbinders Paper Arts Lacey Circles und Standard Circles Stanzen verwendet.

Have a Spooky Halloween

Hi everyone and happy Friday :)
Today I want to share another Halloween card with you. But this time I used other papers and stickers than for the last few ones: the Authentique "Enchanted" collection
The stamps are from a Hero Arts set.
To create this card I followed the sketch from Karan Gerber at Cardabilities
(the challenge is closed, but I liked the sketch, so I used it anyway)

Heute möchte ich Euch nochmal eine Halloween Karte zeigen. Aber diesmal mit anderen Papieren und Stickern als bei den letzten gezeigten: nämlich mit der Authentique "Enchanted" Serie.
Die Stempel sind aus einem Hero Arts Set. Für die Karte habe ich den Sketch von Karan Gerber für Cardabilities zu Hilfe genommen.
(die Challenge ist bereits abgeschlossen, aber mir hat der Sketch halt gut gefallen, so das ich ihn trotzdem genutzt habe)

{DT} Cardabilities #52

Hi everyone and happy Friday :-)
Today is March 30th and on every 15th and 30th of a month, there's a new sketch challenge starting at Cardabilities :)
But this time it's a very special challenge for me, because this is my last post as a DT member.
The two terms (6 months) have flewn by and it was such a great pleasure to work with Karan, her awesome sketches and all the lovely and talented ladies on the DT!
I sure will continue to work with the great Cardabilities sketches in future - as a regular participant :)

{DT} - Cardabilities Sketch #51

Hi everyone and happy Thursday :-)
It's March 15th and as every 15th of a month this means there's a new sketch reveal at Cardabilities!

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Donnerstag :-)

Es ist der 15. März  und wie jeder 15. eines Monats bedeutet das, das es einen  neuen Sketch bei Cardabilities gibt! Und Karan hat wieder mal einen tollen Sketch kreiert

And here is my card using papers from the new April Scrapbook-Werkstatt kit (available on March 26th)

Und hier ist meine Karte bei der ich Papiere benutzt habe, die im neuen April Kit der Scrapbook-Werkstatt (ab 26. März erhältlich) enthalten sind

The butterflies are punched out twice: once from red cardstock and once from patterned paper, then adhered with mini Glue Dots. This let the butterflies punched out from patterned paper stand out from the busy background paper and gives both, more interest and dimension :)

Die Schmetterlinge habe ich zweimal ausgestanzt: Einmal aus rotem Cardstock und einmal aus dem gemusterten Papier und dann alles mit Mini Glue Dots befestigt. Das sorgt dafür, das die Schmetterlinge aus gemustertem Papier auf dem unruhigen Hintergrundpapier zu sehen sind und außerdem sieht es so ein wenig interessanter aus und sorgt auch gleichzeitig noch für ein wenig Dimension auf der Karte :)

{DT} - Cardabilities Sketch #50

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday :)
 It's the last day in February already and so it's time for a new sketch reveal at Cardabilities - the **50th**
And as always, Karan provides a wonderful sketch

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Mittwoch :)

Es ist der letzte Tag im Februar und somit Zeit für einen neuen Sketch bei Cardabilities - der **50te**

Wie jedesmal, hat Karan auch diesmal wieder einen schönen Sketch erstellt

But I admit: This sketch was a real challenge for me! *phew*
I can't tell exactly why this one was so difficult for me to handle, because when looking at the sketch, I really like it. But anyhow, I really had a hard time to turn this sketch into a card. But hey that's one of the interesting and exciting parts of our hobby: Taking a challenge and just try something new or things you normally would not have done!  So I took this chance ;) and here is the card I came up with - hope you like it!

Aber ich muss zugeben: Dieser Sketch war für mich eine echte Herausforderung! *puh*

Ich kann gar nicht genau sagen, warum das eigentlich so schwierig für mich war, weil ich den Sketch, wenn ich ihn mir so anschaue eigentlich schön finde. Trotzdem hatte ich echt Schwierigkeiten aus dem Sketch eine Karte zu machen. Aber hey, das sind ja irgendwie auch die interessanten und spannenden Momente bei unserem Hobby: Einfach mal eine Herausforderung annehmen und Dinge auszuprobieren, die man sonst eher nicht gemacht hätte! Also hab' ich diese Chance ergriffen ;) und hier ist meine Karte - hoffe sie gefällt Euch!

I was running a bit wild with my new Spray Paints *lol* but I totally love their possibilities and am experimenting lots with them lately ;-) Of course I also had to add some sewing again.. love my little mini sewing machine so much ... don't know how I could ever exist without this :-)

Ich hab's ein bisschen wild getrieben mit meinen neuen Sprüh Farben *lol* aber ich finde die Möglichkeiten, die man mit ihnen hat einfach toll und hab' in letzter Zeit recht viel damit rum experimentiert ;-)

Natürlich musste ich auch meine kleine Mini Nähmaschine wieder zum Einsatz bringen.. ich liebe dieses Maschinchen und weiß gar nicht wie ich je ohne es Karten gestalten konnt ;-)

But not only do we have a new sketch challenge starting today at Cardabilities, but it's also the reveal of our new design team!

{DT} - Cardabilities Sketch #45

Hi everyone and happy Thursday, again :-)

It's November the 15th and that means a new wonderful sketch from Karan Gerber for cardabilities!

Here is my card

using this adorable cardabilities sketch

Instead of punching out scalloped lines of cardstock and adding them to the horizontal rectangle, I just ruffled crinkled seam binding and adhered it behind the brown panel :)


Ohhh.... and I also have another exciting announcement to make: I made it to the cardabilities DT for a second term (January - March) *yay*

Hi everyone and happy  Wednesday :-)

It's the 30th of November and this means reveal of a new sketch at cardabilities provided by Karan Gerber!

This time I got a bit messy and tried something more 'arty' than I usually do.
Not sure if I like the result, but it definitely was lots of fun to create it :-)

and here are some close ups of my card (can you see the lovely shimmer I got by using some Glimmer Mists?)
