Fall Card

Hi everyone and happy Friday :)
I hope you will have a fantastic weekend! Here in the very Southwest of Germany, the sun is shining and we are having about 20°C (68°F) and I was outside walking the dogs and now I'm in a wonderful comfortable mood :)

Ok, but I suppose you are not here reading my feelings about this beautiful fall day, but seeing my new CAS card ;-) I've used the 'Acrylic Block Collage' technique that was featured on the SCS forums this week. Totally LOVE this technique. Would never have thought I'd love the result as much as I actually do when I began experimenting. But I really really love it!
And while playing around I thought I can do an "over the edge" card for this weeks CAS-ual Friday challenge :) Well, it's not over the edge of the card itself, but I stamped the image over the edges of the focal panel (I hope you can see it in the picture, that I've put it on dimensional foam adhesive!) So I hope this also counts as challenge entry *smile*

**thank you**

Sympathy Card

Hi everyone and happy Friday :-)

Today I want to show you a Sympathy card.
For me (and I think for most of us), Sympathy cards are always difficult to make.
But this one came together of its own volition.

I stamped the flowers (Penny Black) with silver acrylic paint on the die cut picot edge circle (Spellbinders) of black cardstock and the silver acrylic paint really gives it such a nice shimmer - hope you can see it in the pictures

card recipe:
  • stamps - Penny Black
  • cardstock - American Crafts (black), Clairefontaine (white)
  • dies - Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles
  • other supplies - Sew Sweet white crinkled seam binding, Kaisercraft silver pearl brad, silver acrylic paint, foam tape from stash

{DT} - Birthday Wishes

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Friday :-)

Today I have a simple card without any patterned papers.

I created the card for the 'Stamp It! Cards Week Challenge' at Moxie Fab World.

I stamped the flower image (Penny Black) twice on kraft cardstock: Once with opaque white Staz On ink and a second time with Versamark ink. I then colored the image slightly using some watercolor pencils and added a tad bit of Stardust Stickles here and there.

I wrapped some gorgeous crinkled seam binding in 'Elderberry' (I {heart} the color!) from Sew Sweet and also tyed a double bow with the seam binding. I decorated the center of the bow with a button from the 'Spring mixed Button Bag' from Sew Sweet. To secure the button to the bow I used some 'pink button twine' from American Crafts.

The sentiment (from Inkadinkado) is stamped with brown Versafine ink and for the finishing touch I inked the edges of the kraft card base using some 'Moonlight White' Brilliance ink.

That's it :-)

card receipe:
  • stamps - 'day dreams' by Penny Black, sentiment from clear stamp set by Inkadinkado
  • inks - Versafine Vintage Sepia, Brilliance Moonlight White, Staz On Opaque White
  • coloring medium - Mondeluz watercolor pencils
  • cardstock - kraft by Dani Peuss
  • other supplies - 'Elderberry' crinkled seam binding by Sew Sweet, Button from 'Spring mixed Button Bag' by Sew Sweet, pink button twine by American Crafts, Stardust Stickles

For this card I brayered two different blue Distress inks onto white cardstock. Then distressed the edges and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. I used pop dots to raise this a little bit...

Acetate Christmas Tree

Hier kommt mein Beitrag für A Spoon Full of Sugar.
