    Instructions
  • make 3 1/8" x 5 1/4" card base from 3 1/8" x 11 1/2" white cardstock and  round lower corners
  • cut out a strip of chevron patterned paper and cut into arrow shape and adhere to card front
  • die cut ("Heart Board Fri-Dies") hearts from patterned paper and adhere to card front
  • adhere smallest die cut heart using foam pads
  • stamp sentiment with Memento Luxe Dandelion
  • embellish with clear rhinestones

Zva Creative October DT Blog Hop!

Zva Creative and my fellow Design Team members welcome you to our October blog hop. This month we are celebrating fall and Halloween and are excited to be sharing our new work with you! Thanks so much for joining us!

As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals.  If you like what you see along the hop you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

As mentioned above, this months hop is all about Fall and/or Halloween :)
We do not celebrate Halloween here in Germany, but I can't help but love the "mood" of this special holiday :) I love to create and send out Halloween greeting cards and therefore I have this Halloween card to share with you.
I just love how easy it is to create a really special card without having much work involved if you use the gorgeous Zva Creative bling! In this case I have used the Flourish Jet Crystal (CRB-06CA-128) and cut it apart into two pieces and used one swirl above and the other one below the focal point. A seam binding tied into a bow and the card is finished. Love the result and I hope you love it, too!
Oh and I have another Halloween project I want to share with you, in case you haven't seen it yet.
It is not new, but I thought you would be interested in it, too.
I have created this little Halloween treatbox using the rhinestone swirl embellishment from Zva Creative (CRB-03CA-107)

Halloween Tag (SBW Kartenwerkstatt)

Today I have a very simple Halloween tag cards to share with you.

Heute habe ich Euch eine ganz einfache Halloween Tag Karte mitgebracht.
There is a step by step tutorial with pictures for every step available. But it's in German only, because I did it for Scrapbook-Werkstatt's Inspirations Gallery.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: October Sneak Peek #5 - Halloween Treat Bag

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Donnerstag :)
Today is day five of the sneak peeks for the new to be released CAS-ual Fridays Stamps stamp sets and Fri-Dies!
Heute ist der fünfte und letzte Tag der Sneak Peeks für die brandneuen Stempelsets und Stanzen von CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!
There are two new stamp sets and three new die sets *woot*
Es gibt zwei neue Stempelsets und drei neue Stanzen *juhu*
On this fifth and last sneak peek day the DT shows you projects made with the new "Funky Square Tag Fri-Dies" set.
All new stamp and Fri-Dies set will be available in the online store tomorrow :-)

I decided to make a Halloween treat bag and use the tag dies in this set! I simply used an ordinary paper bag and glued some designer paper ("Masquerade Party" from Teresa Collins) onto the front.
I then die cut the large tag from another piece of dp and two pieces of the smaller rounded squares from orange and white vellum.
I used the "Spooky" stamp set (see sneak peek day 1) to create my tag and adhered it to the treat bag using ribbon, twine and a small clothespin
Ich habe mich dazu entschlossen eine kleine Süßigkeiten Tüte für Halloween zu basteln. Hierfür habe ich einfach eine ganz normale braune Papiertüte genommen und Designer Papier ("Masquerade Party" von Teresa Collins) auf die Frontseite geklebt. Dann habe ich ebenfalls aus DP das größere Tag ausgestanzt und mit Hilfe des kleineren Stanzenteils noch zwei abgerundete Quadrate aus orangem und weißem Vellum gestanzt.
Auch hier habe ich wieder das "Spooky" Stempel Set (siehe Tag 1 der Sneak Peeks) verwendet um mein Tag zu gestalten und habe es dann mit einem Bändchen, Twine und einer kleinen Wäscheklammer am Beutel befestigt

Halloween Treat Box

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen ein wunderschönes Wochenende :)
Today I want to share a super quick and easy to create treat box!
Heute möchte ich Euch ein super schnelles und ganz einfaches Schächtelchen zeigen!
For the box, I used a 8" x 5 1/2" piece of design paper from Teresa Collins' "Masquerade Party" collection and one of the border strips from the same collection. An adorable Zva Creative rhinestone swirl, some black rhinestones and there you have it!
Für die Box habe ich ein 8" x 5 1/2" großes Rechteck aus einem Papier von Teresa Collins' "Masquerade Party" zurecht geschnitten. Sowie eine der Bordüren aus derselben Serie. Noch einen hübschen Schnörkel-Sticker von Zva Creative und ein paar schwarze Glitzersteine hier und da und das wars auch schon!
I am adding a template below, where you can see where to score, fold, cut and glue the paper to create the box. For the sleeve, I simple cut one of the border strips and fold it around the box and then glued it on the back.
Unten findet Ihr eine Vorlage aus der Ihr die Maße ersehen könnt. Außerdem habe ich eingezeichnet wo genau Ihr schneiden, falzen und kleben müsst. Für die Banderole habe ich mir einfach eine der Bordüren genommen, sie um die Box gefaltet und dann hinten zusammen geklebt.

Think Happy Thoughts - SBW October Kit

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday :)
Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Dienstag :)
The new October Kit from Scrapbook-Werkstatt will be available the day after tomorrow!
So I thought I will start showing you some cards I made using the kit goodies :-)
Übermorgen gibt es das neue Oktober Kit der Scrapbook-Werkstatt! Also dachte ich, das ich mal anfange Euch ein paar Karten zu zeigen, die ich damit gemacht habe :-)
Today I am sharing a very simple card made with one of the patterned papers that come with the kit.

Heute zeige ich Euch eine ganz einfache Karte, die ich mit einem der hübschen gemusterten Papiere aus dem Kit gewerkelt habe.
For this card, I simply cut a piece from the patterned paper, ink distressed the edges and added faux stitching all around the edges. I then die cut a banner from white cardstock, stamped a sentiment and added this together with some white sequins and blue rhinestones to the card.
Für diese Karte habe ich einfach nur ein Stück des Papiers zurechtgeschnitten, die Ränder mit Stempelfarbe distressed und falsche Nähte gemalt. Dann habe ich noch ein Banner aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt, einen Spruch darauf gestempelt und auf die Karte geklebt.
Dazu noch ein paar weiße Pailletten und blaue Glitzersteinchen.
I will show you more cards using the October kit, tomorrow! And these will be totally different from this one ;-) So, don't forget to come back tomorrow and check out the next cards with the SBW October Kit :)
Morgen gibt es dann die nächsten Karten die ich mit dem Oktober Kit gemacht habe! Und ich kann Euch schonmal sagen, das die sehr unterschiedlich zu dieser hier aussehen werden ;-) Also nicht vergessen und morgen wieder vorbei schauen :)

Have a Spooktacular Halloween

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Samstag :)

The "spooctacular Halloween" sentiment stamp is from a Lawn Fawn set. The spider, mummy and the cute "eek"s are from a stamp set by The Alley Way Stamps.
Die Stempel stammen aus zwei verschiedenen Sets: Der Spruch "spooktacular Halloween" ist von Lawn Fawn,. Die kleine Spinne, die Mumie sowie die "eek"s sind von The Alley Way Stamps.

Halloween Card (Video)

I am so excited I found this possibility to create my blog posts in a spreadsheet style *woohoo*
I hope this way it will be much easier to read the bilingual posts. :)

Ich freue mich, diese Möglichkeit der Tabellen Darstellung endlich gefunden zu haben *juhu* und hoffe damit wird dieser -zweisprachig geführte- Blog nun endlich besser lesbar :)

Now onto the Halloween card :)
Every other Sunday the Scrapbook Werkstatt DT provides a new card making tutorial or "making of" in their Inspirations gallery. 
Today is my turn and I decided to do a video on how I did the above Halloween card. 

Jetzt aber endlich zur Halloween Karte:
Jeden zweiten Sonntag gibt es eine neue Anleitung oder einfach ein "schau zu wie ich es gemacht habe" in der Karten Werkstatt der Scrapbook Werkstatt.
Heute bin ich wieder dran und ich hab' mir überlegt, das ich Euch in einem Video einfach mal zeige wie ich die obige Halloween Karte gemacht habe.
Featured techniques:
- ink distressing
- heat embossing
- fussy cutting
Verwendete Techniken:
- Papierränder mit Stempelfarbe wischen
- Embossen (heat embossing)
- Konturengenaues Ausschneiden von Motiven

Since I know many of my blog readers don't speak German, I did two versions of the video: one is the official for Scrapbook Werkstatt (German only) and I also did another version: still spoken in German but with English subtitles :)
