Father's Day Card

 

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)
Today I'm sharing another Father's Day card. To create this card I used patterned papers and a die cut sheet from Authentique's "Strong" collection.
I was inspired by this weeks card from Maile Belles who is the May "muse" at CASE Study.
I used her layout (the "clustering" on the lower right side) as my guide to create this card.

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Samstag :)
Heute möchte ich Euch eine weitere Vatertags Karte zeigen (der nächste kommt ja bekanntlich bestimmt - spätestens nächstes Jahr ;-) ). 
Ich habe hierfür ein Papier und Stanzteile aus der Authentique "Strong" Serie verwendet.
Beim Layout habe ich mich von einer Karte inspirieren lassen, die Maile Belles (welche im Mai die "Muse" bei CASE Study ist) als Inspirationskarte diese Woche zur Verfügung gestellt hat.
Ich habe wie gesagt das "Layout" bzw. genauer gesagt die Gruppierung der Elemente auf der unteren rechten Seite als Vorlage für meine Karte benutzt.

Happy New Year

Hi everyone and happy  Thursday :)
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas time!
Only four days and the year 2012 will be gone...time flies....
Therefore I wanted to share a "New Year" greeting card that I've created for a dear friend.
I have used the brand new SBW January Kit to create this card as well as some stamps and dies from Whimsy Stamps. The card is quite simple, because the recipient is a man! I thought these beautiful patterned papers from Fancy Pants' "Blissful Blizzard" collection would be perfect for a man's card.

Nur noch vier Tage und das Jahr 2012 ist schon wieder vorbei... die Zeit fliegt nur so...
Also dachte ich mir, das ich Euch heute eine "Neujahrs"-Grußkarte zeige, die ich für einen lieben Freund gewerkelt habe.  Hierfür habe ich das brandneue Scrapbook Werkstatt Januar Kit verwendet, sowie Stempel und Stanzen von Whimsy Stamps. Birthday Box

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday :)
Today I'm sharing a box with you that I've made for my son Felix who turned 19 last Sunday
*eek*... where did the time go? oh my... and *psst*... he's not even my oldest ;-) )  

I have found a great tutorial from Beate Johns at Splitcoast Stampers to create a box from one sheet (8.5x11) of patterned paper! I just love this - so quick and easy to do! 
I modified it slightly by glueing the sides together and I also did the closure slightly different.

Since it was for a young man, I kept it very simple!

Oh... and you may not be aware at first sight, but the off white strip below the name is a Washi Tape!
So I also want to enter this clean and simple money-giftbox into this fortnight "Keep It Simple" challenge :)

Heute möchte ich Euch eine kleine Geschenkverpackung zeigen, die ich für meinen Sohn Felix gemacht habe, der am vergangenen Sonntag 19 geworden ist!
*uiiiiiiih*... wo ist die Zeit nur geblieben? oje.. und ... *psst*... er ist nichtmal mein Ältester ;-) )

Ich habe eine tolle Anleitung von Beate Johns auf Splitcoast Stampers gefunden wo gezeigt wird, wie man eine Verpackung aus einem Stück Papier (8,5x11 Inches - also ungefähr(!) DIN A4) gestalten kann!
Ich finde die Anleitung echt klasse - super schnell und einfach ist das!
Ich hab's ein wenig verändert indem ich manche Dinge verklebt habe und auch den Verschluss habe ich ein wenig anders gemacht.

Da es ja für einen jungen Mann war, habe ich es wirklich sehr einfach gehalten!

Oh... und vielleicht sieht man das gar nicht so auf den ersten Blick, aber der cremefarbene Streifen unter dem Namen ist ein Washi Tape! Jaaaaa... und somit möchte ich mit dieser "clean and simple" Geld-Geschenkverpackung gerne auch bei der aktuellen "Keep It Simple" Challenge mitmachen :)

Heute bin ich wieder dran mit einem Posting auf dem Spellbinders Blog. 

Das Thema dieser Woche lautet Vatertag. In den USA ist der noch nicht vorbei, wie bei uns ;-)

Aber was soll's...eine Karte für die geliebten Männer in unserem Leben kann man immer gebrauchen, oder?! :-)

Da es eine Karte für einen Mann ist, habe ich eine eher einfache Karte gestaltet.

Birthday Card For a Little Fireman

Hi everyone and happy Saturday :)

As some of you may know, I'm a mother to four boys .. the two 'little' ones are aged 6 and 8 and so I am in need of many birthday cards for boys (because they are invited to other little boys birthday partys a lot *smile*)

Soooo .. here's one more for my (actually not existing *g*) stash... because I'm always happy to have a card on hand for the next birthday invitation my boys get ;-)

I used the super cute new digi stamp 'Fireman Bear' by Meljen's Design and one of the stamps from the 'Party Mini Letter Seals' rubber stamp set by Raindrop Echo.

I did some paper piecing on the firemanbear's coat using a blue paper :)

The papers I used for the card are from the new 'Boyish Charm Papers' by Elise's Pieces. I love her kits and papers because she really is a master in doing 'boyish' stuff! 

A little bit of distressing using Distress inks around the edges of the patterened background paper and around the circle of the focal image, then some faux stitching.. that's it.. pretty easy :)

Happy Birthday 'lil Cowboy

Good morning everyone! Friday again *yipee* and time for another challenge at Phindy's :o)

This week we want to see some paper piecing on your cards or projects

And here's my card where I used some paper piecing on the little cowboys shirt. 

Isn't the card shape cool? I've seen a card like this on Frances' aka StampOwl's blog along with a template (I modified the measurements to get a smaller card) and instructions on how to create this fancy folded card.

Guten Morgen zusammen! Juhuuu... es ist wieder Freitag und somit Zeit für eine neue Herausforderung bei Phindy :o) Diese Woche möchten wir gerne Paper Piecing sehen. Und hier ist meine Karte bei der ich das Hemd des kleinen Cowboys ge-paper-pieced hab.

Ist die Kartenform nicht cool? Ich habe eine solche Karte auf Frances' aka StampOwl's Blog gesehen. Und dort gibt es auch eine Vorlage (deren Maße ich leicht verändert habe um eine kleinere Karte zu erhalten) und auch eine kleine Anleitung wie man eine solche Karte basteln kann.

Daddy my Best Friend (challenges, DT & CT)

This is card is something like a quadruple *lol* (2 challenges, 1 DT, 1 CT)
It's for the challenge 'Inspirational Card Sketches' who have a great sketch this week. You should not miss it :) And it's for this weeks challenge at 'Creative Card Crew' who wanted us to use geometric patterns.
I just had to use my ohhhhh soooooo cute new digi stamp from Doodle Palace, called 'Daddy my best friend' available at their etsy shop. I love this image showing father and son together :) Soooo cute!
Ok.. I think most of you know the problem with male cards.. it's quite difficult to find the right papers and embellishments for that sort of card. But I was lucky enough to have these gorgeous papers from the digi kit 'fun wow!' by Amy Sumrall which I thought are perfect for my card.

Diese Karte ist quasi ein Quadrupel *lol* (2 Challenges, 1 DT, 1CT)
Sie ist für die Challenge bei 'Inspirational Card Sketches' die diese Woche wirklich einen super schönen Sketch haben. Solltet Ihr nicht verpassen :) Und es ist für die Challenge der 'Creative Card Crew' die wollten das wir 'geometrische Muster' verwenden.
Ich musste einfach diesen ooooooberherzigen Digi Stempel von Doodle Palace verwenden (er heisst 'Daddy my best friend'), den es in ihrem Etsy Shop gibt. Ich finde es so süss wie da der Papa Bär mit seinem Sohnemann zusammen steht :) Total herzig!
Ok.. und ich denke mal die meisten von Euch kennen das Problem mit den Karten für Männer.. es ist immer so furchtbar schwer die richtigen Papiere und Embellishments für diese Art Karten zu finden. Aber ich habe das Glück diese super schönen Papiere aus dem Digi Kit 'fun wow!' von Amy Sumrall zu haben von denen ich fand, das sie hier perfekt zu der Karte passen.

Doodle Palace DT and DY2DS (one for the boys)
