{DT} - Home Decor

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Thursday :-)

I hope you are doing well while we here in the very South West of Germany  are 'melting away' with degrees around 100°F (around 36/37°C). It's nearly impossible to sit down and create something and I hope the heat will be over soon.

Today I want to share this little home decor project I did for the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine in August. You can find it here and the magazine has over 100 pages full packed with lots of inspirational cards, other projects and tutorials  -  and it's free!

For my 'bunch of flowers' I used various flowers from the 'Garden Flowers Set' and paper pieced them with patterned papers from the 'A Is For Apple' collab kit by The Digichick Designers.

Thanks for stopping by and I am wishing you all a wonderful day!

be merry

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Sunday :-)
I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Today I want to show you a christmas card.

I just {heart}  this cute and fun 'Gruffy Little Gnome' by Meljen's. This stamp image is available as digital stamp as well as in rubber!  I colored him using Tombows and watercolor pencils and highlighted parts with a white gel pen. Then I cut him out, trimming closely and put him on foam tape.

The patterned papers are from the adorable kit 'Santa's Little Helpers' by KimB Designs. For all of you who don't want to stamp and color themselves: She has some super cute and whimsical elements (like a Santa and his helper and trees etc.  in this kit. I think it's really worth to at least take a peak at it here

And here's a close up where I hope you can see the cut out gnome and trees and the dimension a bit better:

Ohhhh.... and did you notice: there is REAL sewing on this card ;-))))
*yeah* I got a mini sewing machine recently and this was my first try using it :D

Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday and hope you'll have a great start into the new week!

{DT} With Love

Hi everyone and happy Thursday ... again
Yepp, it's me ... again ;-)
Please scroll down to the next post to see the card I posted in the morning - it's for the Crafts and Me challenge :)

Ok... I want to share another card I made today (in Germany we have a bank holiday today *yippie*)
This one was really quick and easy: Just used my Silhouette SD machine again together with some cutting files from Samantha Walker and used it with some printed out patterned papers from the adorable 'Tangerine Twist' kit designed by LDrag Designs.
I distressed the edges of each layer with some Distress inks in Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.
The sentiment is part of a rubber stamp set called 'Film Strip Sentiments' by Raindrop Echo Designs. I just used the sentiment without the film strip stamp here.

I then assembled the basic layers, added a satin ribbon and a button from the October Afternoon 'Homemaker' series. The cut out layers in the center were put on foam pads to give it more dimension.
That's it.. pretty simple and easy :)

And here's a close up of the center piece:

{DT} - Make a Wish

Hi everyone and happy Friday :)
Wow.. can you believe it? It's friday and I'm going to post my third card for this week *g*
Ok.. I hope this is a good omen and I will be able to post here more regular than recently :)

Here's a card I made with a digi stamp from Moon Cookie Gallery aka Natalie Michalski who is a new designer for Whimsy Stamps. She really makes cute designs and I love her sweet fairies (she has 13 super sweet and adorable fairy stamps created by now! :) ) and this one is called 'Gina the Rose Fairy'

I also used a paper from the brand new kit 'Fresh Fun' designed by one of my favorite (digi) patterned paper designers Kim Broedelet! I truly adore her patterns and colors!!!

{DT} - Flower Greetings

Oh my ... I'm soooo bad! My poor little blog... so neglected... *lol*

To all my sweet friends in the blog world: I'm sooo sorry to be such a bad blogger lately. I really hope to post on a more regulare base again, soon :)

But here is one thing I can promise: I will have at least two blog posts this week *lol*

The first card, that I want to show you today is this clean and simple 'Flower Greetings' card, where I used one of the beautiful digi stamps from the brand new digi stamp designer at Whimsy Stamps: Natalie Michalski.

Her adorable stamp collection for Whimsy Stamps is called 'Moon Cookie Gallery' (isn't that a cuuuute name?! :) )
I kept the design of the card simple, because I really LOVE this image ('Tall Striped Vase') and totally wanted it to be THE focal point on my card. Therefore I just used some red cardstock from my stash, some patterned papers from October Afternoon and a Fiskars scalloped border punch to create it. Really easy, but I like the result (even more IRL, because I wasn't able to catch the right colors in the photo... the colors of the image and the papers are matching really good IRL!).
I colored the image with my beloved Tombow Dual Brush pens ;-)

See you all tomorrow again with another (and totally different) card ;-)))))

Have a wonderful evening everyone!
