For my card, I simply stamped the frame and sentiment (Avery Elle) onto a piece of polka dot paper (October Afternoon) then fussy cut it. Created a little bow with a piece of red jewelery floss and adhered it to the stamped label with Glossy Accents. Then I mounted everything with dimensional foam pads.

 

Für meine Karte habe ich einfach den Rahmen und den Spruch (Avery Elle) Auf ein Stück Papier mit Tupfenmuster (October Afternoon) gestempelt und dieses dann konturengenau ausgeschnitten. Dann noch ein kleines Schleifchen aus Schmuckdraht geformt und mit Glossy Accents aufgeklebt. Alle Teile habe ich dann zum Schluss mit 3D Pads zusammen und übereinander geklebt.

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday :)
Today I share another CAS card with you, hoping you like it as much as I do. 
The idea came while I sat and looked at the beautiful patterned papers from October Afternoon that were part of the Scrapbook-Werkstatt October Kit. I was totally in love with all the adorable butterflies, immediately and didn't want them to be just the background but "the star of the show" ;-)
So I decided to cut out three of them and then put them on the card with some mini glue dots and some dimensional foam adhesive, so I could carefully bend up their wings for some dimension and interest.
 Hope you like it!

Heute zeige ich Euch wieder mal eine CAS Karte und hoffe das Euch das auch so gut gefällt wie mir.
Die Idee kam mir, während ich hier saß und mir die wundervollen gemusterten Papiere von October Afternoon ansah, die mit dem Scrapbok-Werkstatt Oktober Kit kamen. Ich war sofort total verliebt in die schönen Schmetterlinge und wollte nicht, das sie einfach irgendwo im Hintergrund vor sich hin dümpeln, sondern wollte aus ihnen quasi "den Star der Show" machen ;-)
Also hab' ich kurzerhand drei von ihnen aus dem Papier ausgeschnitten und sie mit Mini Glue Dots und 3D Pad aufgeklebt, so das ich noch vorsichtig die Flügelchen hochbiegen konnte. Das gibt dem ganzen noch das gewisse Extra und außerdem noch ein bisschen Dimension.
Ich hoffe es gefällt Euch!

You Are So Unique & Amazing

Today I want to share a card that was inspired by the sketch on Annabelle Stamps' challenge blog. Totally love the versatility of this sketch! You can use it in a super simple way but I just dressed it up a little further ... hope it's ok anyway (definitely got started by this sketch)

All stamps are from Hero Arts, all dies (wine + label) are from Whimsy Stamps.

Most of the patterned papers and the alphabet stickers were content of the Scrapbook-Werkstatt October Kit (which is already sold out).

Heute möchte ich Euch diese Karte zeigen, die nach dem Sketch auf Annabelle Stamps' Challenge Blog entstanden ist. Ich mag den Sketch total gerne, weil er soviele Möglichkeiten offen lässt. Man kann ihn auf eine ganz einfache Art und Weise umsetzen, aber ich habe mich dazu entschieden den noch ein bisschen aufzumotzen ;-) ... hoffe mal es ist trotzdem ok (denn ich hab' mich definitiv an diesem Sketch orientiert, beim Werkeln dieser Karte)

I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was not great but ok ;-)
Today I want to share a card with you that I created a while back using Hero Arts stamps and October Afternoon papers. Did some paper piecing on this card (the kite and clouds) and of course I used some of my beloved dies from Spellbinders Paper Arts. I also did some doodling and distressing. I just love distressing and doodling, recently *lol*... so I hope you like it, too and don't feel bored by me doing the same techniques again and again :-)

Heute möchte ich Euch eine Karte zeigen, die ich bereits vor einigen Tagen fertig gestellt habe. Ich habe hier Hero Arts Stempel und October Afternoon Papiere verwendet und damit ein wenig "Paper Piecing" praktiziert (die Wolken und den Flugdrachen) und natürlich musste ich ein paar meiner geliebten Stanzen von Spellbinders Paper Art benutzen. Ich hab' hier wieder mal ein wenig gedoodelt und auch distressed. Ich liebe das in letzter Zeit einfach sehr *lol* ... also hoffe ich mal, das Ihr Euch nicht zu Tode langweilt, weil ich immer und immer wieder dieselben Techniken zeige :-)

LO: Narri-Narro!

Hi everyone and happy Friday :)

Today I want to show you a layout about our 'Carnival' traditions we have here in the Black Forest
I don't know a better word than 'Carnival' for this event, but I think it doesn't do the event justice as we celebrate it here.. I guess it's totally different from everything you know...

Where we live this event is called 'Fastnacht'!
We have processions and celebrations from Thursday to (Ash)Wednesday and people totally go crazy *lol*
There are lots and lots of groups that are participating on the processions.. some of them really have horrible masks and costumes!!! 

The pictures on this layout only show a few of these costumes (and these are the more 'lovely' ones *g*)
During the processions both the costumed groups and the audience is shouting out: 'Narri!' (long 'i'... like you are saying 'eek' ;)) and 'Narro!' (long 'o' like ooooooh)... sounds really funny! ;-)

Heute möchte ich Euch ein Layout über unsere "Karnevals" Traditionen hier im südwestlichen Schwarzwald zeigen. Ich glaube, das wir hier im äußerten südwestlichsten Zipfel Deutschlands (ziemlich ländlicher Raum ;) ) schon sehr urige Traditionen haben und das sich unser "Karneval" auch sehr von dem unterscheidet, was man sonst so kennt.

Hier wird das ganze "Fastnacht" genannt! Und wir haben ziemlich viele Straßenumzüge mit vielen Cliquen, Gruppen und Gugge-Musiken, die fast alle immer komplett (inkl. Maske) kostümiert sind!

Viele dieser Masken und Verkleidungen sehen wirklich zum fürchten aus! 

Auf den Fotos vom Layout sind noch die "netteren" zu sehen.. es gibt echt fiese Gestalten bei diesen Umzügen 

Und anstatt "Helau", "Alaaf" und wie das sonst noch so im Rest Deutschlands heißt, ist der Ausruf hier in der schwäbisch allemannischen Fastnacht "Narri! Narro!" *g* .. hört sich lustig an :) :) :)

Spellbinders Call Final Round Submission - LO 'Julie'

Hi everyone and happy Sunday :)
Today I want to share another layout with you: the one I made for the final round of Spellbinders' DT call.
The picture and journaling is about our dog 'Julie' relaxing in the garden, eating a chewing bone :-)
Well.. I have to admit, this is not exactly the page I submitted.. the one I sent in was a little bit more 'clean'  ;-) and I added a little bit of color splashes and this and that after I sent in the picture and this is the final result as it went into my album ;) 

The challenge for the final round was to create a layout using:

•  'Holly Motifs' die set (at least one of the dies) without making holiday or christmas themed project (I used the smallest holly die in the set to create the flowers)
•  'Butterflies' Impressabilities (I used it as a mask and sprayed with green glimmer mists on white cardstock; it's the layer under the photo)
• 'Postage Stamp Classic' Edgeabilities - the edger plus one decorative insert (I used it to create the green vertical border on the center piece)
• embossing and stenciling with the dies (which I did in the lower right corner with one of the inserts from the Edgeabilities set)

And even though the layout was not good enough to make the team, I'm happy with how this page came out, anyway :)

Hallo zusammen und einen wunderschönen Sonntag Euch allen :)

Heute möchte ich Euch wieder mal ein LO von mir zeigen und zwar dasjenige Layout, das ich für die letzte Runde im Spellbinders DT Call eingereicht hatte. 
Naja, um ehrlich zu sein, war es nicht genau dieses LO, sondern eine etwas ander Version... das eingereichte LO war doch etwas  mehr "clean" und ich hab's später noch ein wenig mehr aufgehübscht mit der roten Blume, dem roten Stoffband und den Klecksen... naja... jedenfalls ist dass das Endergebnis, wie es nun auch in meinem Album steckt ;)

Die Herausforderung in der letzten Runde bestand darin ein Layout zu erstellen und dabei folgende Dinge zu benutzen: 

• 'Holly Motifs' Stanzen-Set, mindestens eine der Stanzen, ohne etwas weihnachtliches zu machen (ich hab' die kleinste Stanze aus dem Set genommen und daraus die Blümchen gemacht 
•  'Butterflies' Impressabilities (habe ich als eine Art Maske verwendet und ein Stück hellen Cardstock mit grünem Glimmer Mist besprüht - die Lage unter dem Foto) 
• Postage Stamp Classic' Edgeabilities - eine Randstanze und ein Innenteil (hab' daraus die vertikale grüne Bordüre gemacht) 
• Embossing und Stenciling musste mit den Stanzen gezeigt werden (was ich unten rechts in der Ecke mit einem der Edgeabilities Innenteile gemacht habe)
  

Und auch wenn ich es mit diesem Layout nicht ins Team geschafft habe, bin ich mit dieser Page trotzdem zufrieden.. mir gefällt sie :-)

Keep The Sun in your Heart

Hi everyone and happy Sunday :-)
How's the weather where you live? Right here it's as ugly as can be: Stormy, rainy, grey but over 10°C (50°F). So I guess I have the 'right' card for the weather and my mood (because of the weather) *lol*

Hallo zusammen und Euch allen einen wunderschönen Sonntag :-)

Wie ist das Wetter so bei Euch? Hier bei uns ist es so eklig wie es nur sein kann: Stürmisch, regnerisch, grau aber über 10°C (50°F) warm! Also habe ich hier eine Karte, die glaube ich ganz gut zum Wetter und zu meinem derzeitigen Gemüt (wegen des Wetters) passt *lol*

I created the background by stamping the raindrops repeatedly on white cardstock with light blue pigment ink until the paper was covered for around three quarters. Then I sprayed the paper with two blue spray paints (light and medium blue Glimmer Mists) and put this paper on foam tape for some dimension

Ich habe den Hintergrund gestaltet, indem ich die Regentropfen so lange mit hellblauer Pigment Stempelfarbe auf ein weißes Stück Cardstock gestempelt habe, bis es ungefähr zu dreiviertel voll war. Dann habe ich den ganzen Hintergrund mit zwei verschiedenen Blautönen (hell- und mittelblau) von Glimmer Mists besprüht und anschließend dieses Papier mit Hilfe von Schaum Klebepads auf die Kartenbasis gesetzt.

For the focal point I stamped the sentiment,  sun and open umbrella onto another piece of white cardstock, then covered it with yellow spray paints. I then cut it out using a classic rectangle Spellbinders die, leaving the umbrella outside the die so it wasn't cut away.  To finish the card, I stamped and cut out the closed umbrella trimming closely and glued it to the small rectangle.

Für den mittleren Teil habe ich den Spruch, die Sonne und den geöffneten Regenschirm auf ein Stück Cardstock gestempelt und dann mit gelber Sprühfarbe bearbeitet. Dann habe ich das ganze mit einer Spellbinders Stanze (classic rectangle) ausgestanzt, wobei ich den Schirm außerhalb der Stanze gelassen habe, damit er nicht weg gestanzt wird. Zum Abschluß habe ich dann noch den geschlossenen Regenschirm gestempelt, konturengenau ausgeschnitten und auf das schmale Rechteck aufgeklebt

I thought the October Afternoon 'Rocket Age' papers with that cute little astronaut, exploring the outer space are perfect for this traveling card ;-)

Heute möchte ich Euch diese einfache, lustige Karte zeigen, die ich mit meinen Unity Stempeln gemacht habe. Die Unity Stempel waren in einem Paket von Two Peas in a Bucket, das ich letztes Jahr also Preis für einen Challenge Gewinn erhalten hatte :-)

Ich fand, dass das October Afternoon 'Rocket Age' Papier mit dem niedlichen kleinen Astronaut, der das Weltall erkundet, eigentlich perfekt zum Reise Thema der Karte passt ;-)

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Wednesday :-)

I love this quote fom Brian Littrell and have used it a couple of times on cards, now.
Here is my newest version of it on this card made with the adorable patterned papers from October Afternoon and stamps from a clear stamp set by Bo Bunny.
I stamped and colored the stars and then cut them out trimming closely and set one of them on a pop dot for dimension and some interest. The sentiment was created using a little Dymo label tool and red tape

Best Wishes - Window Card

Hi my sweet blogging friends and happy Saturday :)

Today I want to show you a card I made for the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.
They teamed up with Glue Dots this week and they want to see cards using Glue Dots and glitter together in a creative way. So here's my card using Glue Dots and turquois glitter to create the center of the butterflies.

I don't know if you can see it properly but this is a 'window' card: I cut out a circle in the center of the card front so the journaling label with the 'Best Wishes' (that's adhered to the inside of the card!) can peek through.

It was really hard to photograph this in an appropriate way *sigh*

Today I want to share a card with you where I used felt to create my own design elements for the very first time :)  I handdraw the clouds and sun onto white and yellow felt, cut them out and created a 'sky' with them.
To create the grass, I used a strip of green dotted patterned paper and cut lots of little stripes
The cute image is a rubber stamp from Whimsy Stamps called 'Thunder Lizzy ' created by Crissy Armstrong.
